Got my weekly update from the Sage at Gateshead today and it highlighted that tickets for the Tull concert were on sale from today.
I had a look at availability and it looks like the tickets are selling well with roughly 50% of tickets on Level 1 sold and a little less on level 2.
Quite impressed as the concert is almost 11 months away. Must admit I find it hard to fork out £100+ for two tickets for an event so far off.
Still at least Tull are keeping prices much lower than others. I looked at tickets for Peter Gabriel and Roger Waters but the tickets were just daft prices..

Thanks for that Steve, I've just checked the availability of seats on level 1 front section and it looks almost sold out however, I have a big mistrust of the way ticket sales are handled these days and reckon ticket agencies have snapped up all the best seats to sell on at an inflated price denying genuine fans from being able to buy tickets fairly. I remember going to the Theatre Royal as soon as the box office opened to buy tickets for the last time Tull played at the City Hall and there was hardly a seat left for the first 40 rows so I asked the lady behind the counter how come all those seats have gone when I'm here at the start of ticket sales? She just shrugged her shoulders so I said, "I suppose they've all gone to ticket agencies then?"  Like you Steve, I find it hard to fork out £100+ especially as I've had to pay a fair amount to get the steering fixed on my car which I'm sure was caused by that tractor pulling me out of the mud at The Northern Kin but I'll have to dig deep to buy a couple of tickets for the Sage I suppose.  |

Thanks Bunkerfan, think you are probably right and many of the tickets have gone to agencies. I know that happened at the City Hall in days past too.
There must be a number of us that suffered car damage at Northern Kin. We were directed up the right hand side of ground to exit on the Friday night. We got well stuck in the mud and to make matters worse there was a buried post that hit our car engine splash plate/guard and cracked it badly.
I will probably buy tickets for the concert in a few months time....

I've seen Jethro Tull several times in Oslo! First in Njårdhallen in 1971 and 1972.

Here in Rome people have nicknames for most of the buildings, as you can easily understand if you take a look at the aerial view, we call this auditorium "I bagherozzi" which means something like "The cockroachs". It is a great place for concerts, thought. |

Locomotive Breath Again he put in an additional Albionaut! Great show that must have been! It seems that the sound is clean and straightforward. Who knows if he fired JOH defintively or if it is a temporary thing: he seemed to be very close to JOH in recent times, but with Mr. A you can never know! Oh, I should have been there! At least I am now recovering, and as for my son, he is recovering too but I need to learn how to give him injections... Let me check a tutorial on youtube! My son is much more like a fan of Albion only and not JT, but I will take care of him anyway! |
