Good to see you back John Sounds great, Jack on the guitar excellent Agree, he sounds quite good in this! Will need to hear some more to fully appreciate his style though, of course. He looks a bit like youtube journalist Coffeezilla. And John’s beard seems to grow more glorious by the hour!

As someone who has seen Tull MANY times, I think on the next tour, a set list of the songs from the last 4 albums only would be great to hear. What do you guys think? I'd love to see the newer stuff.

Yeah, I agree: Tull change every few... er... decades... so in a word current Jethro Tull is something very different from that of 20, 40, or 50 years ago, yet it is still great music, in my opinion, and... recent songs... say of the last 15 years... are probably best fitting with Mr. A's current vocal capability, and would result a great tracklist and a great show. It would be great for people like you and me who have seen them live many times. However a component of people attending their concert is probably coming to see Mr. A for the first time, so he can't delude them and can't avoid playnge some classics

He could call it THE NO AQUALUNG TOUR. Seriously, i'd love to hear live versions of the last 3 albums. The TAAB2 live shows were great. I saw a show similar to that at the Wilturn Theater in LA. A little night music i think it was,

It’s never going to happen, but I also agree. The newer songs written with his current singing in mind just sound so much more natural on stage… I’ve seen him do ”mrs tibbets” almost entirely without lapsing into his usual delay, and there are other songs like ”change of horses” where the delay is sort of inbuilt. I think such a show would be a lot more comfortable both for him and for listeners. (Listeners who haven’t heard these albums, maybe not so much) But probably the best bet for something like this is if he decides to play the next album in its entirety, a la TAAB2 and HE. I think that could happen, especially if he decides it is the last one.

Jethro Tull in Oslo Konserthus, Norway, March 16, 2024.
Set list:
My Sunday feeling We used to know Heavy horses Weathercock Roots to branches Holy herald Wolf Unchained Mine is the Mountain Bouree
BREAK
Farm on the freeway Navigators Warm sporran Mrs Tibbets Dark ages Aqualung Locomotive breath Cheerio (tape)
Musicians: Ian Anderson Jack Clark Scott Hammond John O´Hara David Goodier
Full band present in Oslo. I especially welcome the new guitarist Jack Clark. He fits naturally into the band. I also saw him on bass guitar with Jethro Tull in Karlstad – Sweden, May 04, 2022, along with guitarist Joe Parrish.
A good setlist. Maybe Ian Anderson was inspired by the weather conditions in Oslo, when he put two tunes from the Stormwatch album and one tune from the Christmas album into the setlist. It was a snow storm in Oslo from early morning to late afternoon. Loads of wet and heavy snow whirld down. A good concert and a good audience, and someone who didn’t respect the ban on filming with the mobile, of course: “You are doing it again, put the fu*k*ng thing down”. Applause from the audience. It wasn’t me. I didn’t even film Locomotive Breath. Sorry…
Welcome back JETHRO TULL.

I'd kill to see Tull live. Sucks that I'm poor and they never seem to play in Oregon anyway.

I'd kill to see Tull live. Sucks that I'm poor and they never seem to play in Oregon anyway. Dude, you're not missing much, Ian can't sing the old stuff any more, yet that's all he seems to want to play. A couple of pieces from the two new albums, but mostly old stuff. Tull's done, take the unspent show money, and buy some of the reworked box sets.
