I'm from North Carolina! Born here, lived here all my life, and although I can't see into the future, I will probably die here. It is my home; full of beautiful places and amazing people, from the coast to the mountains and everywhere in betweeen.
I just felt like I needed to say that for some reason.

Good: A release date: 4-14-14...don't tell anyone that in Chinese Feng Shui mumbo Jumbo, 4 means death, in fact, when Chinese Investors bought an SF building with the Street address 444 Market they promptly boarded up the front door and made a side door the new door and called it 1 Front Street (true story). Good: Ryan is in the picture...literally ! Believe me, this is the best date of the year to release the album. It's my birthday! It's the best birthday present Ian ever gave me. What a guy! I feel so special! Glad to see Ryan too! It's all good.

Hey Teach., if the conference is in the Bay Area, we can have a lsitening party the day it comes out...if the conference is in southern California, my sympathies. If only! Luck is not on my side. I will be in Anaheim.

I would love to be watching this live right now! I just can't wait to hear the new music. My problem is, the day the album comes out in April, I will be at a conference in CA. I might have to wait few days before I can hear it. I hate that!

I want to congratulate Jim on his new role in this forum, I think fully deserved! Scenic Tour Manager!Well, I would say: “Scenic Tour Manager of Tull Extraordinaire” , but there may be a character limit in the description field. Your posts have been incredible Jim! I can’t wait until next year. And, if they come back to North Carolina; I would like to see something especially spectacular!

same age Metta, same taste in music and probably some similar type memories. Patti Similar memories? I don’t doubt that a bit. It’s funny, I have 22 year old intern. He was amazed by how vivid my memories were of a day 42 years ago. When he started working in our office 3 years ago, he had never heard of Jethro Tull. Well, he can’t say that anymore. Bring on 2014 and new music! This has been a tough year.

The first time I ever saw Jethro Tull live was on Nov 7, 1971. I was a Sunday and the concert was in the afternoon. The opening song was My God. Tull had been my very group since Stand Up came out in 1969. I remember begging my brother to take me to the concert. The show was 2 hours away in Greenville, NC and I was 15 years old. It was one of the best days I can ever remember. Hard to believe that was 42 years ago today. I would love to see Ian and the band play the new album on Nov 7, 2014, but any day will be just fine.

Happy Birthday Bernie! I’m glad you enjoyed the latest TAAB2 show. I hope this year gives you another opportunity to enjoy a show or two, and meet more Forum friends. It can’t get any better than that! Have a great day!

I hope everyone that gets to see this next round of Brick shows loves it every bit as much as I did. I would love to see the TAABs one more time, but I guess I better stop thinking about running away for the show and stick to the salary continuation plan. I will for now anyway. Hopefully, there is going to be something new and exciting in store for next year. I will be waiting.

A college major in Tull....with senior year seminars on selected songs/albums/topics/eras. A cacophony of Tull songs blaring out of open dorm windows. Scholarships for promising Tull acolytes. University of Jethro Tull paraphenilia at the gift shop. Relevant graffiti on the grout between the tiles in the bathroom stalls: Jethro Tile, A Tile for Everything. Maybe there are underappreciated Tull songs, but they are not underappreciated by me. Our school offers a course on the Beatles. A course on Tull would be much more interesting. Maybe I could teach it? The Forum would be required reading and I could post everyone’s final essays for you all to read and critic.

Thank you, we have already counted your vote. Jethro Tull 39.05% T. Rex 60.95% I'm not willing to accept this result. If this was accurate then where did all our votes go? I'll keep voting as much as allowed but this score is beyond belief. F***! T-F***** Rex ? ultimateclassicrock.com/jethro-tull-vs-t-rex-hall-of-fame-finals/ I feel your pain Jim. I can’t help but think something is very wrong here. There were times when I knew it had been 24 hours since I voted and still it would not let me. Tull will surely lose and that just really sucks. There is no way this should be happening! I would have rather seen Tull lose to the Allman Brothers; not T Rex for heaven sakes. That’s just mindboggling.

I wonder if Joel is the guy that sat behind me at the IA concert in Orlando FL in 2010. He was from Ohio and had a Jethro Tull tattoo. He did not show me his tattoo but said he had shown it to Ian. He had also seen the concert the night before in Clearwater FL and was going to see them in again in Ohio, lucky man. He told me he had seen Tull 75 times, again, lucky man and big fan. Won't that be funny if he was the same person.
