I hope to go, but the 6 hour drive to Asheville is a long way. I'm thankful that Martin decided to play NC anyway.

Wow! This is quite an honor for me. I haven't had much to say of late, but don't think I'm not lurking around to see what's going on every now and then. Thank you all for the birthday wishes and just for thinking of me today. So...for all these kind thoughts, I have treated myself and ordered the new MITG remix today. Can't wait to listen. Oh the memories! I might even have to consider a trip to Philly! I have a few hurdles to jump before November, but not out of the realm of possibilities. Love to all my Tull friends here on the Forum.

Thanks Jim for posting the photos for me. The concert in Richmond was wonderful. All bare bones, no videos or special effects. They even played under The National’s hot venue stage lights. All to save overhead cost and pass the savings along to benefit the cause. Ian gave a nice heart felt talk about donations, as if the tickets didn’t cost enough.
The crowd was packed with some extreme Tull fans, doing what extreme Tull fans do. Hooting, Hollering and Singing. It was a shortened set list, only 3 HE songs, and he added Wooten Basset Town. It was really sort of nice not to hear the telephone ring during the middle of TAAB.
The Photo Op was quite a surprise; they certainly get you in and out. Ian is a busy man, just a quick hello; a flash and you’re out. I did get him to sign my program, and then all the guys added their signatures at the November Tull Convention. I love it, a keepsake for sure.
Sorry for the long absence from the Forum. I hope things will calm down for me early next year. I have lots to look forward too. I have decided to retire in Dec.2015. One More Year! I hope Ian is still playing some concerts. No telling how many I will get to see at that point. The Tull Convention in NY was exceptional also. I guess that’s another thread though.
Bye for now, Metta

Well let me just add, while I'm at it today. Although I am disappointed about the changes, I would not miss this trip for anything. The music will be fantastic; whatever they play. I'm always happy to be a true fan!

Not even counting the gas it will take to drive the 800 miles from Wilmington to Charlotte to Durham to Richmond and back to Wilmington next week; I have spent over $1,000 this year on tickets and lodging to see and hear Ian Anderson perform Homo Erraticus.
I did this because I was so excited about the new music and the once in lifetime chance to see it performed in its entirety. I guess this means absolutely nothing. So I will go and sit through Bouree and TAAB for the millionth time, and I will sadly miss much of the new music that I bought tickets to see, but enjoy the event just the same.
I sure hope I don’t see any empty seats during the second half.

Yes Jim, I am counting down the days to the Charlotte concert. I'm sending April (my cousin) a message today. It will be great to see you both! 2012 seems like a lifetime ago. The view will be great from the second row!

I hated hearing about the weather in Barcelona, but so glad it cleared for the show. Great pictures Remy! Keep'em coming!
I am so happy to be seeing the show in the not so distant future. Already starting to annoy friends and coworkers.
And, I think I have actually talked one of them into going to the JT convention in November. What have I done! This One's for you I love this photo Remy, and I am honored you dedicated it to me! All the pictures are great, but there has always been a special place in my heart for Tull keyboards. Silly me.

That song pops in my head quite a bit. Especially the part about the White Knight! Yes I forgot that bit Here's my own lyric "One can only but dream" Then dream, dream on. The dream is all. All good sense gone.

Thanks so much everyone for the birthday wishes. It was a nice day, although work got in the way a bit, and when I got home; there was no Homo Erraticus waiting by the door. I did have a great trip to California last week, so no complaints really. Oh Jim, you do know how to treat me right. That was a nice dose of JO. Always a winner! So glad you enjoyed it. Metta has a soft spot in her heart for John O'Hara. He has a unique style and lots of charisma.
John was so nice to meet her in person back in 2012, that I hope she sees him again later this year. Yes, John was very kind to sit and talk for a while. I'm pretty sure Jim may have had somthing to do with that.

My Grandmother on my Mother's side was Irish. According to her stories; I am a descendant of the family known as the foolish O'Neill's. (Not to be confused with regular O'Neill's.) Sounds right somehow. I need to go to Ireland someday. I should do some research. I haven't heard of the "Foolish" O'Neill's have heard of the "Warring" O'Neill's though. The O'Neill clan was a very prominent group of families (Ulster - I think) who held positions of great power. Ireland's a lovely country to visit it gets a bit boring though if you stay awhile. It seems I really should check out the family tree. There just me be a warrior's heart here. Interesting thought.
