John was very nice to meet in person. He's a little shy at first. Till the beer kicks in. ;D Wow Jim! You got to shake John Evan's hand! The first of my two favorite Tull keyboard players. I almost gave up on Tull when he was outed. What an amazing talent. And Heavy Horses; I love that album.

That was a great interview Remy. I got a chance to talk to Ryan before and after the show in Asheville,NC last year. He was very friendly and quite witty. He said he saw me in the audience during the encore. I remember thinking WOW! How cool. Really, me?

This is crazy! I just started reading this thread and it just makes me wonder. I'm pretty sure what I like in Tull music is not what another woman would like. I don't think all men like the same songs. I think if you like a certain album or song and you want to share it with someone, it is a gift you give that person. It is like sharing who you are. Isn't that what it's all about?

Sad news. I loved the music of Ten Year After. Alvin has gone home. Probably sporting a nice pair of clogs.
As we sit here in comfortable places, Florian Opahle is Cranking it Up Loud in Rosenheim, Germany! I found this link with videos from 2007 of Flo's Blues Project and more: www.myvideo.de/watch/2077929/Blues_Project_Florian_OpahleCheck out Florian Opahle's vocals!
Florian is so talented. I just watched a few of these videos. He is so personable and I love that smile. You can just see how much he loves what he is doing. He has and will learn much from Ian and others. I believe there is no stopping him. His journey will continue for many years.

Now there's a plan! The Murdoch's have quite an interesting history and a good website - I'm sure you've checked up on it. Some suggestions are that they were originally Norse and the name could mean "seafarer" so may I suggest a bit of Broadsword and the Beast for listening too while sampling the beers. Excellent suggestion! Beer along with Broadsword and the Beast. It has been a while since I gave that one a listen. The time is due and my ears are starting to tingle. I can just hear that drum beat now. It’s going to be a good weekend!

Estrella Damm is a Spanish lager produced by the Damm brewery, founded in 1876 by an Alsatian who lived in Barcelona, August Kuentzmann Damm. Today is the country's oldest beer and lagers of reference in the beer world. Beer is the most consumed in Catalonia with 85% market share in 2006.1 surpassing its highest competitor, also in Barcelona, Moritz. Highlights include creamy flavored by hops and refreshing taste. It has an alcohol content of 5.4% My plan for the weekend is to make a list and see what excellent beers of the world I can find here in the southeastern part of North Carolina. Starting with Estrella Damm. I hope there is some to had in this small part of the world. And for my grandmother who was a Murdoch; I will pick out a nice Scottish Ale.

Is there only me that hasn't had a photo taken with Ian? Me neither Yet! Sod Em You Sword and I can get our picture taken together ...we can sign it too. I certainly never thought I would have a picture taken with Ian. The worst part about it is, I look so horrible, I won't show it to anyone. I hope I get another chance some day.

Thanks Teacher, I love these stories, in Barcelona I had the opportunity to greet again the sound engineer, Mike Downs (he was a real joker I agree), so I can confirm your story. I gave Mike, some pictures of the band with Jim in the same Bar, I hope Jim publish those photos (I have a copy ) and Mike promised to deliver them to the boys. Was delighted and invited me to have a few beers with the guys after the concert, unfortunately I could not go, I had an hour drive to get home and already had enough beer, the next day I had to work and that meant a few hours of rest, if had been on a weekend certainly would had attended, maybe next time... Remy! Take the next day off man! You can't pass these opportunities up.

Sort of like a dream I had of meeting Ian and his band. Jim made that happen for me in big way, what a day and what fun it was. Isn't that the way it should be? Like to hear more about your meeting with the band Teacher. Sort of like a dream I had of meeting Ian and his band. Jim made that happen for me in big way, what a day and what fun it was. Isn't that the way it should be? Like to hear more about your meeting with the band Teacher. OK, this is how it all happened. When I heard about the TAAB 1 and 2 tour, I knew I had to be there. I saw the first TAAB concert in 1972. Thick as a Brick is one of my all time favorite albums and I could not wait to see it again along with the new TAAB 2. I got a call for my cousin who lives near Asheville, NC; she had never seen Tull or Ian before. She had tickets to the Asheville show on September 28 and I had tickets to the Durham, NC show on September 29. We decided we should see both of them. In the mean time I meet Jim on another web site, that shall remain nameless, and we discovered that we had attended a few of the same concerts in North Carolina over the years so, of course, we became friends, I also noticed that he seemed to have a lot of pictures of himself with various past and present band members. Well that got me thinking, so I asked Jim how a person goes about meeting the band. After he told me his story I asked him if I could hang out with him on the day of the concert. So, we decided to meet before the Asheville show and then we would try and meet the band. Now I had to break this news to my cousin, so I called her and told her we were going to meet this guy that I met on the Internet and if we were lucky we would end up meeting the band. (I'm pretty sure she thought I had lost my mind.) At the same time I was joking with my friends and co-workers telling them that I was going to be partying with the band after the show. Anyway, it was dream I had, and I was willing to give it shot with Jim’s help. Well, guess what? It all came true. We meet all the band members and Ian even made an appearance to say hello and sign autographs. Then, to top off the evening; Jim, April (my cousin), some guy named Richard, and I were invited to go have a few beers with the band. It was awesome! We had great conversations with Scott, John, Florian, David and their sound technician, Mike Downs (he was a real joker). They were all very gracious and they were more than willing share their thoughts on any questions we threw at them. And the best part? Jim took this picture, so here’s the proof; I am not too old to rock and roll and, just this once, party with the band! You can believe it was a night I will never forget.

I agree, I think Teacher and Jim can make a nice summary of his meeting with Anderson and the boys, I'd be happy to see these pictures again ;D Same here ...fire up the scanner ;D I would love to share the story and some photo's. I will work on that as soon as I get to a real computer. My phone is not cooperating with me. Hopefully Jim can come up with some good stuff too!

It's unfortunate that there has to be any division at all. Of course you're right about Jim. It's nice to see him here, it's nice to see you here. The more Tull fans united the better. Cheers! Tull United! I couldn't agree more. Why can't everyone get along! It's a dream I have. Sort of like a dream I had of meeting Ian and his band. Jim made that happen for me in big way, what a day and what fun it was. Isn't that the way it should be? Jim, Remy, William are such Tull fans and they all have so much to offer. I can't wait to see and hear what's in store from them and everyone else here. I have been a long time Tull fan, but it seems I learn something new every day. That makes me happy. Give me more please.
