Yup. A couple days earlier, in Zurich, me and friends snuck into soundcheck and were politely sequestered away from 'The Dressing Room' where Tull were recording. We thought we were all lucky to be parked in a room with a few snacks and beers but, as we learned much later...years later, we were in planned, brief incarceration.

Hamburg is my favorite city. Tull is my favorite band. Life shows no mercy.

Saw Tull in Milan in 1989...Very rowdy audience, near riot. Then the restaurant tried to overcharge Tull party, another near riot. Pegg and Allcock protested strongly and bill was revisited.

I'm willing to go to Tull, if Tull won't come to me. Retirement planned for next June, followed by presumably large role in launching kid to college next September then the wide open spaces of golden years. There are already gigs scheduled for late 2023 so unless Ian and I falter in our arrogant plans, me going to Tull is the plan.

Ian has a good sense for which dogs are rabid and which are sane. In this picture, he looks happy to be with the latter.

I thought TAAB 2 was as good as anything ( well, outside of Passion Play) that Ian had ever written. Homo E. and Zealot a bit forced here and there but not without highlights.

I hope for no casualties nor extreme property damage but must admit I like the idea of 'Ian' coming ashore and shaking things up a bit.

Wow. Tull at a monastery is a step beyond even the cathedrals, churches and church courtyards of so many gigs. I only hope that women are allowed...there was a time, not so long ago, that whole mountains in Greece, let alone the monasteries, were off limits to women.

High standard Tull afficianado (spellcheck) club here. Not for the 'which one is Jet?' set. SFTW was like a whole other Tull universe unfolding.

Remembering myself as a penny pinching college student, I am happy to say that I was more glad to get Rainbow Blues and Glory Row for $3.99 each than bothered that I had to buy two whole albums of songs I already had, The pot was sweetened a tiny bit by the extra tambourine on Locomotive Breath

Just noticed that one of Martin's songs on Road Less Traveled, 'And the band played on just for me' There is the line: 'cheap hotel in a seaside town' lifted straight out of 'This is Not Love'. If you are going to borrow, might as well borrow from the best !

Check out the poster that Maddog posted last March. Okay, Germany is not exactly Canada or Brazil but there are still hundreds of kilometers between many of the cities so whether by train, short flights or bus and with different rooms every night, sound checks, the whole production of touring, maybe a little promotion here and there...8 nights in a row reminds us that TULL WERE MONSTERS. It was a long set, too.

I think I heard that it was Charles' idea to get Tull when Bowie or the Who cancelled on his charity gig in 1982...plus he had some dealings with Ian about salmon farm employment, I think. That's enough info for me to think he'll be a good king.

In early message machine days I used the taped opening riff of 'Aqualung' and figured anyone who didn't know it was my phone had no business calling but then I switched to Guns and Roses for awhile ( What we have here is failure to communicate). I remember holding the unwieldy message machine by the speaker to make this fun happen.

Ian, from day one, has kept strict lines between show business and backstage and behind backstage and by extension or fiat, so have most of the ex members. Tull fans have to accept this unilateral contract with Ian. Just a fact of Tull fan life and not likely to change at this late date. Partly admirable, partly frustrating.

Wow. Missing this one hurts. No evidence of the great Hugh Cornwell? He and Ian have collaborated...a bunch

What a great lineup. I would go out of my way any day of the week to see Tull, Hugh Cornwell, Focus, Colloseum and Dee Palmer.

Mrs. Tibbets strong enough without lead the witness video, I think. Kind of refreshing to just watch Ian and band and listen to words.

British Columbia is beautiful, the people are nice and martin barre and his band are performing. Why am I, a mere 600 miles or so, south, not en route? WHY ?

Although I would agree that caution is needed in buying everything and anything ever so slightly Tull related ( I'm looking at you, Leslie Mandoki), I think Florian has at least earned our attention. Where he is and what he is up to and maybe giving his music a chance or a live look feels right.
