There is extra stanza, added on the theater box, not finding the lyrics online but will look in book CD later and hopefully add them, then.

Of course, you are right on all counts.

Loved the video of the charming and wonderful young woman who took us along to Tull in Rome...but why no subtitles for Americans?

Definitely worth pursuing as there are no less than 5 songs not otherwise released or replayed since. I have a CD copy of the new songs, captured live from an audience, not great but good enough to know its a shame those 5 songs appear to be forgotten and neglected by Ian....and its not like any of them turned up in altered or anywhere close form since...we'll see if Rokflote reveals some use of them.

I wonder if I can get to Godforsaken Illinois...maybe if old friend Ray is 'in' ( Tullistry)

Great picture. I would like to think I knew at the time how unique and important that night was in my miserable little life...I mean, it was my first Tull concert and they were already my favorite band but the magnitude of that night grows in the rear view mirror.

Tulltapes a pillar, if not foundation, of APP preservation and appreciation.

Strongly agree that cigarettes and workaholism were probably greater factors than smoke machines.

A San Diego show has snuck out, too. like Wolf Trap. part of a series so word gets out before single tickets on sale

Tickets on sale as part of series at a venue in San Diego called 'The Shell'.

I LOVE the Rolling Stones, truly and thoroughly, I really do. Seen them thrice, keep them heavy in my music rotation, just haven't found much since Steel Wheels to like but wallowed in extras from Some Girls, Tattoo You and Goats head Soup.

A friend in LA got us tickets for San Diego which almost guarantees Tull will play much closer to my home. But at least I can look both ways when i cross the street knowing I have good reason to live till 9-26-23.

Tull in San Diego bodes well...either dates closer to me in SF or me going to Mexico for awhile with San Diego at start or end of trip.

And yet and yet...I think TAAB II might be my third or fourth favorite Tull album ever. Change of Horses not exactly 'punching the clock' on songwriting.

I agree. Perfect acoustic songs like Cheap Day Return, Dun Ringhil and Salamander seem to have tapered off since 'Secret Language' ( Set Aside) although Homo E. had a couple.

Wow, Tinkletron, ex-wife alerting you to Tull gigs...was that in the pre-nup or just civilized? My ex wife wouldn't tell me if fans were on sale in hell.

Good setlist and good news about USA dates. My tentative goal will be two or three. I'll be retired, kid will be at camp. I'll be on the road to live TULL.

I cleaved pretty close to Elvis Costello and his genre hopping energies but the album he did with Burt Bacharach did not impress me at all.

May 8th, London show on heels of new album release sounds significant and reflecting optimism re: Rokflote response in press and sales. Tull lives.

Songs that took years, if not decades, to penetrate, but eventually did, include Broadsword, This is Not Love and Mountain Men. My least favorite Tull song ever remains 'Another Christmas Song'.

I'm going to listen to all Tull shuffle on ride home from work tonight just on principle of catalyzing US dates.

No one hopes for US dates more than me. August 8 in Spain and September 7 in Belgium does make August 24 in Virginia not impossible, maybe a couple weeks on East Coast ? I could aim for most furthest west stop. Hoping Tull site clarifies soon. A lot of Tull dates in USA have been announced as parts of summer series before they show up on Tull site.
