Whilst weeding out the deleted video's in the "Tull video gallery" I get to 1981 and find nothing posted, so to make amends here's one I've found. Not my favourite Tull track by a long way, but here it is never the less.

I ditched work in Hamburg (Spar store) and took milk trains and hitchiked to Dortmund to see that one. Worth every minute, Black Sunday was the sound check and i snuck in for that as I was alone and able to operate at will. Up till then I was down with Germanic standards: real men don't miss work. But this was TULL.

The Black Sunday reprise to end the show remains one of the most Tull moments ever.

Upload by philhonley A Night On The Road - Last Night Of North American Tour 1981 Feb 27, 2020 I used to really enjoy listening and indeed recording the BBC Radio 1 In Concert series on a Saturday evening during the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. I also caught a few BBC Radio Friday Rock Show and Capital Radio sessions. I still have the cassette tapes and as the BBC has no immediate plan to make these available to the public I have decided to release close to 250 of these historical recordings on my YouTube channel.

I still have the cassette tapes and as the BBC has no immediate plan to make these available to the public I have decided to release close to 250 of these historical recordings on my YouTube channel. The problem with many of these recordings (especially the ones that appear on you tube) is that they are often full of inaccuracies. This one for example is not from 1981, but from November 1980. The playback speed is ridiculously fast too. There is a recording from Manchester 77 ("Back to Earth" I think someone called it) which someone also ruined by speeding it up Ive seen recordings from supposedly 1982 (Supergroups in Concert) which have tracks from the 1980 "A" tour in the middle presented as one concert. Another also from 1982 has sleeve notes that mention the debut of " 15 year old Alexander Barre" on guitar when in fact it was just an IA joke on stage at Martins expense. Does it matter? Perhaps not, but its always bothered me.
