I was in the book store today and saw a new Paul McCartney lyrics book that came in a box that was heavy enough to bludgeon somebody with. $130.99. Words and music. Without the music, there was really no point in the words. Nice try, Paul.

jethrotullart.com/Limited Edition Fine Art PrintsJethro Tull Art presents an exclusive series of giclée fine art prints Featuring 14 Iconic album covers, plus 2 exclusive bonus prints To be released periodically across 2022 and 2023 The first print, Aqualung will ship in June 2022 Pre-Orders of The Complete Set will receive all prints together in June 2022 www.loudersound.com/news/jethro-tull-announce-new-art-collectionJethro Tull announce new art collectionBy Jerry Ewing ( Prog ) published about 4 hours ago New collection of 14 classic Jethro Tull album cover art begins with Aqualung Jethro Tull have teamed up with London's The Flood Gallery to launch an exclusive collection of Jethro Tull art. You can view a video of Ian Anderson unboxing the Super Deluxe box set below. The Jethro Tull Art Collection will see the artwork for the first 14 Jethro Tull albums, from 1968's This Was to 1982's Broadsword And The Beast released in two different formats over the next 24 months. The collection kicks off with the artwork for 1971's Aqualung album. "This is probably the ultimate box set ever," exclaims Ian Anderson. "It's all the album covers from the glory years of Jethro Tull, faithfully reproduced on high quality paper, embossed with the Jethro Tull logo." That box set does look very impressive! It is way out of my price range though. I have always thought that the Jethro Tull album covers were all superb (similarly Pink Floyd and the Yes album covers) and were a perfect compliment to the excellent music contained in the sleeve. Very nice indeed. That box is almost as big as Mr Anderson.

ramzine.co.uk/news/limited-edition-jethro-tull-art-prints-available/ Limited Edition Jethro Tull Art Prints AvailableBy Paul H Birch, March 28, 2022 Working exclusively in collaboration with London’s Flood Gallery, legendary British band Jethro Tull is – for the first time – offering iconic studio album cover art in two fine art print formats to be released individually over the next 24 months. First to be released is the ground-breaking and iconic Aqualung album cover from 1971. Printed in two large format sizes, 24” square (signed edition of 350 @ £120) and 28” square (signed edition of 150 @ £175). The prints are gallery quality giclées printed on 100% cotton rag archival paper stock and will all come numbered and signed by Ian Anderson and embossed with a Jethro Tull stamp. The first 14 studio album cover art prints can also be purchased together in a Super Deluxe custom-made box with two bonus prints. All prints in the deluxe set are number-matched, signed by Anderson and each print is embossed with a unique Collectors Edition JT stamp. The Deluxe Boxes are handmade and only 75 of these box sets are being made available to purchase worldwide (at £1,800). The Aqualung print and the Super Deluxe box set are available for pre-order now and will be shipping from June. These will be followed in Autumn by another four releases – Thick As A Brick – That celebrates its UK 50th anniversary release this year, and the band’s first three albums, This Was, Stand Up and Benefit. All four will again be released as signed limited edition art prints. The Jethro Tull album artwork came about in many ways. The first four album covers were commissioned and paid for by Chrysalis Records (now Warner Music Group) with subsequent cover concepts from Ian Anderson being commissioned from various artists, photographers, and designers. All copyrights for these prints are owned by Warner Music Group.

Sorry kids, your planetarium, unicorn posters and school photos need to come down. Make way for a giant photo of Ian Anderson giving you the Italian Salute! Being italian, I was wondering what this "italian salute" was, so I checked on google and I found several ones, let us review them. ![]() ![]() This one in Italy is widely used, and actually means something like: "F**k you! I won't do what you want" or also "I cheated you, I buggered you" depending on the facial expressions and grit of who does it... In the case of the pic above, I swear it is the first one. I also found another pic of the same gesture (which for some technical reason I cannot reproduce here) in which they pretend to mean "Hi" as it is explained in the caption... which is certainly not, so please don't believe him and don't use this gesture if you want to say Hi. Note: which arm is used to do what is not important: the gesture is invariant for L-R shifts. I wonder if this thing is used in other countries, and with which meaning. Clearly it is Ian's pose on the cover of Too Old To RNR and surely it is what the original poster meant. Please comment on this. ![]() ![]() This one, I believe it is international, more or less. Obviously means cheers! ![]() I also found the one above as italian salute, even if I can't reproduce for some reason the original image, but this one... sorry this is not an italian anything, I've never seen it used in Italy, and someone told me it means "I Love You" for americans, but don't use it in Italy becouse it is ambiguous, and recalls the following one This one is the one used in Italy, again it can have different meanings: 1) I hope this thing we are talking about will not happen, 2) I hope we are going to have good luck, 3) your wife is having an affair with someone else... So if you are not expert in the contest you are, I don't encourage you to use it in Italy This is another one that someone called "italian salute" on the web, and again it is much better not to use it, in Italy or elsewhere. Did you have a good time? Then see you again next time at the forthcoming lessons on italian gestures!

I have a feeling this concert will be included on the Broadsword 40 year box set that should be out sometime this year. Has anyone heard if/when it will be released?

Thanks for posting this Maddogfagin. Great news, just 10 minutes drive for me. Been to the last two festivals here and really enjoyed both. Andy Fairweather Low was the highlight of of the event for me this year, so talented.
