This is the "bleeped" vinyl promo issued in America. Locomotive Breath (mono) c/w with Wind-Up (stereo). Amazing. I had no idea this had happened except in Spain. Thanks to Remy and his earlier post. America has a history of censorship too. The British Broadcasting Corporation, otherwise known as auntie, has and still does have a policy of judging what we listeners should listen to or watch on our televisions as witness the recent shelving of a programme about the disgraced presenter Jimmy Savile. Their censorship of music and the arts in the past has been a strange combination of what the BBC, and similar organisations, think we should listen to and watch, and the ranting and raving of the moral "right" which scuppered many artistic performances and has not allowed the population to make up its own mind in these matters. My own view is that if a programme is rubbish I'll change channels or simply switch off. I'd rather do that than send off pointless letters or emails complaining about a programme that may have contained something I didn't agree with. Unfortunately if you have a policy of blanket bans on things of minor importance, the worst of behaviour slips through such as pornography etc. Oh, and I hate morris dancing.

It's actually an EP, which also contains the songs "Witch's Promise", "Life is a Long Song" and "Teacher", which is the jewel of the product, since it is a new remix made by Steven Wilson, who has remained unpublished until now. The release of this EP will be next April 20, 2013.

As you can see my two Aqualung do not contain Locomotive, I would like to see a copy with the Spanish Aqualung and Locomotive...(is an invitation to post this album ;D), I'll inform you and give you an answer, may from approx 1975 will launch an edition with Locomotive included, but I go to inform well before making assumptions

Well I think I've been able to clarify the issue of Aqualung, apparently in 1980 (Spanish democracy began in 1976) made an edition without Glory Row, have to admit that I've not this edition. The edition sought after by collectors is logically the censored with Glory Row instead of Locomotive Breath.

Price wise, this release is going for between £5 and a staggering £30 on ebay, at the moment, here in the UK. Still haven't taken mine out of the shrink wrap yet - maybe it won't become the multi million pound rarity that some seller's sites seem to suggest.

Too cool for school: Oh boy! How does this remixed Teacher compare? Homework, Graham ;D On time! OK so I've finally taken the shrink wrap off the picture sleeve Strange that Terry Ellis' production credits has been expunged from the credits on Living In The Past, Witch's Promise and Teacher. Didn't notice that on the reverse of the picture sleeve. discussion...about the Teacher: "OK, so I think there are 6 versions/mixes of Teacher available:" More links: jethrotull.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=cd&thread=854&page=1#12554Version # 1 (UK/European single version) a) 1969 stereo mix found in UK & France 45s b) 1969 mono mix found on other Euro 45s Version # 2 (US album version) c) 1970 mono mix found on US reprise promo 45 (possibly a fold down?) d) 1970 stereo mix on US Benefit album e) 1971 stereo remix on LITP double album f) 1993 stereo remix on 25th Anniversary box set. per Warchild This also works for CD only: Teacher #1 UK version is found on CD only on the 20 years box. Teacher #2 This is the most common form of Teacher Teacher #3 is remixed on Living In The Past Teacher #4 is remixed on the 25th box set Classic Songs Remixed. per pig whisperer For future cut&paste: ;D CD versions of Teacher: Teacher Version #1 is found on CD only on the 20 years box. Too cool for school: Oh boy! How does this remixed Teacher compare? Homework, Graham ;D On time! Can't record it TT but listening to it through a jury rigged turmtable and amp it seems MB's guitar is more to the fore than previous versions. If anyone here in the UK can record vinyl onto computer, PM me your address and I'll send you my copy to record then we can let TT have a masterful listen. By the way, I'll want the disc back pronto ;D

Having finally had a moment to sit down and listen to the SW mix of Teacher it is far superior to my ears to all other versions. It is certainly clearer and less "muddy" than some pressings and Martin Barre should be pleased as his guitar parts have a clarity not evident before. Thanks to cornerofthesphere for sending it

Thanks to cornerofthesphere for sending it UK Teacher: Agree, sounded very nice on Saturday. Thanks to all involved. Steven Wilson got the mix just right for me. ;D US Teacher: I prefer the US version: On CD: Keyboard right on "M.U." best of, MFSL Living in the Past, 2001 Benefit Remaster (brightest), & 2CD The Best Of Jethro Tull Anniversary Collection Original Mixes It will be interesting to hear Steven Wilson's mix of the US version. ***2001 BENEFIT remaster has the UK version listed - actually plays the US version.

This was posted by Paco Jimenez in tullianos facebook page, someone knows something more about this album? JETHRO TULL minstrel in the gallery 1975 MEXICO LP gatefold p/s MEGA RARE NM/NM Thanks Remy Remy I contacted some Tull collectors yesterday and they all said they have never seen a copy of the above Mexican MITG cover which was printed in colour. All said that it was most likely to be a one off and may have been done by hand. However this is, to me anyway, doubtful because if you look at the top right hand corner you can see the print colour bar (the coloured squares) which is usually hidden from view with all colour printing of album sleeves and also with any packaging done this way and is a check to ensure that the colours used are the correct ones. So the hunt for information continues with this. My thoughts are that this was, quite likely, a limited edition most probably pressed for a specialist magazine or music club similar to audiophile releases done for magazines such as Hi-Fi Today which produced high quality releases on virgin vinyl for collectors. The only way to be absolutely sure would be to examine the record itself to see if there were any tell tale markings on the run out grooves of the record. Graham
