I bought the Get Happy album the day it was released. Twenty songs crammed into one LP. Put the needle on the record, and it slid all the way across the record to the end. Some sort of problem from the manufacturer. What do do? We put a twenty-five-cent piece on the arm to give it a bit more weight. I went from being real mad at Mr. McManus to loving one of my favorite albums. Nick Lowe was a genius, with exception to His Cowboy Outfit.

I hope nobody gets fooled into buying these 'counterfeit' releases. The people who profit from this activity are despicable. Am I right in thinking that 'Skating Away' was never released as a single in the UK? On a lighter note, I am still a proud owner of 'A Stitch In Time' on white vinyl.

A concise explanation and description regarding the above can be found on the excellent Collecting Tull site at www.collecting-tull.com/Collectibles/7_JethroToe.htm I know of at least 3 fans who have been fooled into spending lots of money on a counterfeit copy of Sunshine Day also one former Tull member and Sky TV on their Discovering Jethro Tull documentary. 'Skating Away' was never released as a single in the UK www.electrocutas.co.uk/singles3.htm

Over the years I have managed to collect all of the original UK releases - both singles (with the exception of 'Sunshine Day) and albums. At the time, I passed on buying the 12"/cassette singles and picture disk releases although I have since bought some of them (but only when the price is reasonable!)
