It is with great sadness that we announce this evening the cancellation of the concert by Jethro Tull, scheduled at Domaine Clos Frantin, Albert Bichot, as part of the Sons d'une Nuits d'été - 16th Edition, the 9th Next July. Facebook LINK Indeed, following the Covid-19 health crisis, movement between "orange zone" countries implies a week of quarantine imposed on arrival in the country visited and on return to the country of origin. This is why, unfortunately, Jethro Tull's participation in our beautiful Bourguignon Festival is once again compromised.
We already know that many of you have received an email from your reseller announcing this sad news.
For the reimbursement of your "evening" tickets, we invite you to contact your point of sale before 07/31/2021.
For spectators who have purchased 5-night passes, we will get back to you very soon. Thank you for your understanding.
Postponement of concerts in Italy LINK It is with deep regret that we have had to accept the decision to postpone the shows in Italy this July/August in Brescia, Cervere, Genova, Cattolica, Forte dei Marmi, Trento and Francavilla. We have waited as long as possible in the hope that the Italian authorities would lift the mandatory quarantine imposed on all UK visitors and allow us to enter freely.
Sadly, that has not happened and our promoters are forced to abandon plans to present these concerts. They will announce new replacement dates for 2022 as soon as possible and we will, of course, list them on all our social media.
Apologies for this and we are all as disappointed as our Italian fans will be - especially since we have not been able to play a single show since February 2020 due to the Covid pandemic. We hope that our concerts in Italy in October will still go ahead along with other shows later this year. It has been a long time since I walked out on to a stage with my flute. Far too long…..
Jethro Tull at sommermusik Schloss Rheydt: Rock band plays additional concert By Arjun Sethi August 7, 2021
Rheydt The concert of rock legend Ian Anderson and his band at Sommermusik Schloss Rheydt has been sold out for over a year. Now Jethro Tull is playing an additional concert – and there are still tickets for it.
That was an exciting week for summer music organizer Günter vom Dorp. First came the final approval for the popular concerts in the castle. Then Nico Santos’ management got in touch and announced that his shows planned for August will all have to be moved to next year. “We were all hoping, but the wait didn’t play into our hands. The preparation time for the open-air tour is no longer sufficient. See you in the summer of 2022,” writes Nico Santos on his fan page. He will now come to Mönchengladbach on Friday, 26 August 2022. All tickets remain valid. The concert has been sold out for months.
On Sunday, August 22, rock legend Ian Anderson will be on the summer music stage with Jethro Tull. There have been no tickets for the concert for more than a year. “Again and again fans call and hope to get a few more tickets,” reports Günter vom Dorp.
Due to the postponement of the Santos concert, there was now the chance for an additional concert. A short call to the Briton and both quickly agreed. “I’m flying with the band from London to Mönchengladbach a day earlier and we’ll play a spontaneous additional concert on Saturday,” promised the man with the flute and quickly rescheduled his flights.
His anticipation of the performances in Mönchengladbach is huge. “A concert in an old Renaissance castle is like a gift,” Ian Anderson likes to admit. Other concerts of his “Anniversary Tour” in Germany were postponed again. Now Jethro Tull is coming to Germany exclusively for the two shows.
Advance sales for the additional concert on 21 August are open. “If you want to put your ticket for the concert on Sunday on Saturday, you can easily contact us,” promises Günter vom Dorp. For further concerts with Milow, Tom Gaebel, Naturally 7 and Ray Wilson remaining tickets are still available in advance. LET THERE BE TULL !!!! THE FANS CHEER! IAN ANDERSON GIVES ADDITIONAL CONCERT Salute to FLO LINK Fans of the Scottish rock legend can look forward to another super-class concert. Ian Anderson, the man with the flute, has spontaneously agreed to an additional concert for Saturday, August 21st. The British rock legend and his band JETHRO TULL are flying to Mönchengladbach exclusively for these two concerts.
jackinthegreen: Cream without Eric??? Santana without Carlos?? and not even with a stand-in player.....you're easily pleased, I reckon most people would not be happy to say the least...
