I cannot beleive what I´m seeing here!!! I have been living in Mendoza for the last 8 years and I ddin´t know about this tribute band. But the most incredible thing is that I, for once, was out of town and missed the show... Hopefully they play again soon. I´v been also told that Ian Anderson will play the city in October, but no Mendoza shows are listed in the official JT site. Arena Maipu Resort October 18 LINK

www.newjerseystage.com/articles/getarticle.php?titlelink=ian-anderson-to-perform-at-red-banks-count-basie-theatreIan Anderson To Perform At Red Bank's Count Basie Theatre2017-09-04 00:00:00 (RED BANK, NJ) -- Ian Anderson will perform a multi-media rock concert, JETHRO TULL at the Count Basie Theatre, on November 1 at 7:30pm. Tickets range from $35 to $160 and are available online. The concert will feature a solid collection of the best-known Tull repertoire from 1968 to date. Fans will recognize the key songs from various albums - songs which put Jethro Tull and Ian Anderson on the map in the late ‘60s and early ‘70s - with most of them accompanied by big screen HD video elements to enhance the concert experience. Favorites include: “Dharma For One” in 1968, “Bourée,” “Nothing Is Easy,” “A New Day Yesterday,” “Living In The Past,” “Aqualung,” “Locomotive Breath,” “My God,” “Aqualung” and on through to “Thick As A Brick” and material from the albums of the next three decades. A couple of recent works round out the concert selection which may vary a little from night to night. Ian is accompanied by Tull members David Goodier (bass), John O'Hara (keyboards), Florian Opahle (guitar), Scott Hammond (drums). In 2017, JETHRO TULL by Ian Anderson played Australia, New Zealand, throughout Europe, South America, and the USA. In 2018, we look forward to celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Jethro Tull. Now in stores and all online digital sites is THE STRING QUARTETS, the new album by Jethro Tull’s Ian Anderson and The Carducci String Quartet. The album hit the coveted number one spot on Billboard’s Classical Charts. THE STRING QUARTETS features the classic songs of Jethro Tull, arranged and orchestrated by Ian’s keyboardist John O’Hara. Ian plays flute on most of the tracks and even sings a few lines here and there to provide his trademark sounds in the context of classical music traditions.“ "The album finds its most authentic voice the further it gets away from the original songs" writes Russ Coffey of UK’s Arts Desk. The album is available in the U.S. via The End Records/BMG. The Count Basie Theatre is at 99 Monmouth Street, in Red Bank, NJ.

It's a shame that even with all this promotion for the European leg of the current tour, the image of IA/flute is reversed. These things have happened before. It probably was an artistic design idea when they put the logo in the upper corner. Most people would never notice but it gives us another mystery about how these things get made. Thank you very much for finding this one with the Berlin info on the bottom... Danke Herr Maisey

www.lvz.de/Kultur/News/Jethro-Tull-Nie-zu-alt-fuer-Rock-n-RollJethro Tull: Never too old for Rock'n'RollTheir milestones in the history of music are "Thick As A Brick", to say it with a title of this band. On Saturday, Jethro Tull offered a cross-section in the Haus Auensee Leipzig through their work - and the audience in the final torn from the seats. Article published: 24 September 2017 15:13 Uhr | Article updated: September 27, 2017 00:19 Leipzig, Germany . Hard to estimate how many hundreds of concerts the man has already completed. 70 is Ian Anderson, 50 will be the project Jethro Tull. There comes something together. Nevertheless, the chance is not small that the show was the first on Saturday in Leipzig's sold-out house Auensee, before the quasi-pre-program a real horse of iron one of the biggest hits of the band pled: Near the entrance groaned and tinted the small olle Parkeisenbahn - almost as old as Anderson - passing through the darkness at the entrance. So he breathes, the "Locomotive Breath". And inside, the breath suddenly fills: concerts of one of the giants of the rock history are now bespoke. So far it is so. Nix with dancing, nix with snapping or air guitar. This is quite difficult when a program starts with a fuzzy start with "Livin In The Past" and "Thick As A Brick" already appears in fourth place on the setlist. Mister Anderson's voice is still as stable as his famous booth on one leg in the many flute solos. Still, he stretches his neck upwards while singing and lifts his heels as if the micro was set too low. On the huge video screen the film of a long career runs past - in concert and music video clips or text lines. Getting used to the fact that singer and violinist Unnur Birna Björnsdóttir is played by a film preserve - but does not change the first-class craftsmanship of the Livemusiker around Anderson. John O'Hara, for example, can wonderfully organs on the keyboards, if he can. And the Rosenheim Florian Opahle masterfully tweaked the strings - fantastically strains and scrambles his hard-filigree guitar variant of Bach's D minor toccata. Not the only bow to Leipzig's great cantor, for a Bourrée is also on the agenda. Two net hours (there is a break) takes the journey through the metamorphoses of Jethro Tull, Progressive Rock, Folkiges, Hardrock and Weltmusik. Whenever it's just a bit much mediaeval, Ophale with his riffs in between. And of course, and especially, Ian Anderson, who wipes over the stage with his flute, which is so unusual for the genre, and gives him a very special sound with a sharp blow, with a flute tongue or a grunt or jubilation from the vocal chords. "Too Old To Rock 'n' Roll: Too Young To Die", as Anderson himself remarks, when he as the 70-year-old announces the 1976 song. No, he is not too old for that. And the audience is still young enough, not to have to squat on chairs. Or not? Even at "Aqualung", a completely self-indulgent with guitar poses and wild dance celebrates this stunning song. Only at "Locomotive Breath" - which is a masterpiece of rock history - is the end of sitting. The highly sophisticated concert ends in euphoria. Sure, "Pussy Willow would have been nice. But you can not have everything from 50 years of career. By Mark Daniel

Herr Google wouldn't let me translate the following so . . . www.wz.de/lokales/wuppertal/40-jahre-jethro-tull-in-zwei-sets-1.252501627. September 2017 - 17:06 Uhr KONZERTKRITIK 40 Jahre Jethro Tull in zwei SetsVon Hartmut Sassenhausen Ian Anderson nahm in der Stadthalle die ganze Bühne in Beschlag.Wuppertal. Sehr viel altes wie Neueres war dabei: „Thick as a Brick“, „Aqualung“, „Fruits of Frankenfield“, „Too old to Rock’n’Roll too young to die“, und und und.

Herr Google is vorking for me Wuppertal. That Ian Anderson 70 Lenze on the hump has, it was not to be noted with superficial view. As always, he took over the entire stage. He was an artist of the air guitar. Rocking on his flute, artistically stood on one leg, the other angled. Log Date: 9am, 1st January, 2016 " ...within a period of about five or six days I've written the first draft of all the lyrics for a new project ...but's that's something for 2017"Eddie Winter-radio interview March 2016 Okay let the speculation begin! How about TAAB 4 ? ... Just kidding Many times I try to guess what direction the music might go. I never really can predict the subject matter but this album should be much heavier with guitar & drums. The "Homo Erraticus" tunes are very diverse with all types of musical blends that make it lots of fun.
I believe the orchestral arrangements in April will probably be used in a LIVE recording so what's next? Ian Anderson gets political from time to time... "TEAR DOWN THE TRUMP WALL"? Probably not since the election should prevent such a disgrace... we all are praying for common sense.
Here's an idea, an album about famous women in history... "Ladies, Queens, & Presidents" TAAB-4 could be called "The Mortar Network". TAAB-5 could be called "Level, Straight and Weather Resistant". TAAB-6 could be called "Framed For Live Action".
