I can't explain why the 'official' website does not acknowledge these 3 dates in TULL AVIV... Regardless, I will assume they have decided to be there and perform to all who bought tickets. Maybe there are reasons but FEAR should not be one of them. If you ask TULL Fans to show up then the least you should do is thank them. Thank YOU TEL AVIV !

So tickets for two concerts near me went on sale while i was computer isolated in Colorado ( great skiing, thank you)...luckily a Tull friend thought of me for San Jose and Sta Rosa and got us reasonable seats. And i found out i will be in NYC for a week in April and get to see Martin Barre in a small club. Life good beyond sore legs from skiing like a teenager and being an old guy.

Also on hand to perform along with Ian is David Goodier (bass), John O’Hara (keyboards), Florian Opahle (guitar), Scott Hammond (drums) and surprise virtual guests on screen including Ryan O’Donnell. Why did my sissy parents leave tough, socialist, war threatened Israel in 1957 and come to soft Denver? I could be seeing Tull in Haifa ( say it right: chhay-fuh)...if my Israeli life didn't include being shot down in an air battle over the Golan heights or blown up in a Tel-Aviv disco or imprisoned for refusing to fight in Lebanon or busted collaborating with Palestinians for a brick of hashish. We all MUST wonder now and then....

www.jpost.com/Israel-News/Culture/Jethro-Tull-The-Rock-Opera-446367Jethro Tull: The Rock OperaBy DAVID BRINN \ 02/28/2016 19:22 Hechal Hatarbut, February 24 Ian Anderson, the venerable front man of British rock stalwarts Jethro Tull, continues to find inventive ways to recycle the band’s impressive back catalogue. The last time the 68-year-old Anderson visited Israel in 2012 was to perform Tull’s 1972 concept album Thick as a Brick and introduce a new Part 2 to the mix. This round, Anderson has penned a self-styled “rock opera” loosely based on the life of the band’s namesake, Jethro Tull, an 18th century agriculturist. “Rather than tell the story in some sort of historical pastiche, I thought it would be more fun to use many elements of his life and talk about today and tomorrow by repositioning Mr. Tullas as a biochemist working in the field of genetic modification and doing research in crop production and animal cloning,” Anderson told The Jerusalem Post last month. Despite his lofty aspirations, I don’t think there was anyone in the audience who was able to pick out a story line. But that didn’t detract at all from the spectacle of the show, that combined Anderson’s versatile touring band, oversized actors and singers (including Anderson) on a huge screen backdrop, who provided taped transitions between the songs and traded off vocals with the live Anderson. It may sound like a mess, but it proved to be highly enjoyable and multi-sensory. Cynics may say it was designed that way to take the focus away from Anderson, who has clearly lost some power and range to his easily identifiable vocals. But visually, Anderson was his spry self, dashing from one side of the stage to another, interacting with his fellow band members and posing in his trademark one-legged perch as he continued to treat his numerous flute passages like they were electric guitar solos. Many of the best-loved vintage Tull tunes were accounted for in tight, powerful versions, including “Aqualung,” “Wind Up,” “With You There” and “Locomotive Breath.” While the evening could have worked as a standard “greatest hits” revue, the addition of razzle dazzle turned it into an event that showed that Anderson was not only living in the past.

One of the great landmarks in downtown Göteborg Sweden is always hanging out for all to see Poseidon, Götaplatsen Poseidon LINK At the top of Avenyn at Götaplatsen you will find him standing naked with a little shy glance watching downwards, Gothenburg´s Poseidon. When Poseidon were ready at Götaplatsen people thought it was a little bit embarrassing that he was naked..... but today we do even think about it. Yes, our acceptance really changed through time.
He loves to be photographed from all angles and he stands here both Summer and Winter. In the Summer time he cools down in the fountain and in the winter time he freezes his butt off....
In the greek mythology, Poseidon was the God of the Sea and were doesn´t he fit the best if not in the city of Gothenburg. Sailors often worship Poseidon about getting a calm sea.
History - Poseidon When the city celebrated it´s 300 year anniversary 1923, some thought that Götaplatsen with it´s central place needed some art of some kind. What should that be....But before the exhibition it was no time to build or do something else, so a temporary water tub was built in wood. The tub that stands there today were not at place before many years later, 1927. Along the side of the tub you can see shapes of fishes and other water figures.
When did Poseidon arrive at Götaplatsen ? Poseidon by Carl Milles was put in the tub 1931. He is 22 feet high and the tub around him is 3 feet high. Apart from Poseidon you can at least see 6 figures more in the tub. Poseidon was poured at Herman Bergmans firm.
