Crank it up at Weyfest 2014 BEEKEEPERS Link
Since 1968 JETHRO TULL, led by singer/flautist/writer Ian Anderson, have enjoyed almost unparalleled success world-wide. With well over 50,000,000 album sales to date and countless record-breaking live concerts (including an incredible 5 night sell-out at Madison Square Garden), not to mention the award of a coveted Grammy for Best Hard Rock album for Crest Of A Knave, Jethro Tull are right up there with the most successful British rock bands in history.
This year Anderson has decided to drop the Tull moniker, possibly for good, to release his new album Homo Erraticus, viewed by many as the third part of the Thick As A Brick trilogy. The album entered the UK chart at #6 in April, his highest chart position since the original Thick As A Brick in 1972.
Ian Anderson's band includes fellow Jethro Tull members John O'Hara and Dave Goodier who both joined Tull in 2006. German guitarist Florian Opahle has also played with Tull on occasions, and drummer Scott Hammond and co-vocalist Ryan O'Donnell complete the line up that recorded Thick As A Brick 2 and the new album.
They embarked on a two year World Tour in April, Playing the entire new album plus a lengthy set of Jethro Tull classics, and Weyfest represents the last chance to catch them in the UK for some considerable time.
The set at Weyfest is billed as The Best Of Jethro Tull and will include such classics as Living In The Past, Too Old To Rock 'n' Roll, My God, Songs From The Wood, A Passion Play, Locomotive Breath, Teacher, With You There To Help Me and of course Aqualung. The name may have changed but the songs remain the same!

First Tull video from Weyfest 2014...
This video is dedicated to the memory of Glenn Cornick who sadly left us on August 28th at age 67. Glenn was a major part of the original Jethro Tull line-up in 1967 and featured on the first three Tull albums – This Was (1968), Stand Up (1969) and Benefit (1970). Cornick's bass (along with Clive Bunker's drums) formed the bands blues and jazz engine room which underpinned the classic early Tull sound. The video was recorded by Darren Beech at Weyfest on the 30th August 2014

This is the intro video for the 2014 Homo Erraticus live tour. It sets the scene and introduces Ernest T Parritt who is recovering from malaria in a Swiss sanatorium.

Any rumours about new live album/video release from the Homo Erraticus tour by Ian Anderson (such as made with Thick as a Brick live in Iceland cd/bluray/dvd) ? None as far as I'm aware. All we got was the special tour edition of HE with a dvd of the video backdrops etc.
