Anyone mind if I butt in and share this with you all . I've just seen it on the Ministry of Information web site. 26/6/09 Hameln, Germany Ian is expected to participate in a Guinness world record attempt, related to the 'Pied Piper' legend.

Yes, Ian drinks lots of Guinness, chases the rats out of Hamelin on one leg (Ian , not the rats) ... attempts the world record of solo baritone farting of Aqualung..

An Ian Anderson tour date: 3rd May- Barbican, London Cheers for that rockisland. Plans are afoot to get this old maddog up to London to see this. Hey Col, I reckon a pre gig forum meet up is in order with balloons, bunting, large banners and free beer - sorry I was having a dream

lemme know where to mail my lunch money for maddog's beer at the london gig. The New Day snobs ( I'm asking for it, aren't i) always met at 'The Swan' by the hammersmith...is that near the barbican too....London looks tiny according to the first frames of the "Peter Pan' movie.

What gives here? Are Tull putting on the odd UK show and not publicising it very much? As of Sunday Feb. 1st, there's nothing on min. of inf. website about UK Tull shows. Check this site, www.tourtracker.com/artist/jethro-tull/1003938they seem(?) to be a bit more up-to-date than other places.

I think you will find these are possibly a mistake I saw these listed last year around the time of the UK tour, so Either there was some great forward planning at work or someone maybe cocked up on the dates...

Looks as if it is a mistake electrocutas. The Llandudno venue has no show at all on the 5th of Feb. and the Colston Hall in Bristol has nothing booked for June 4th.
So I take back that comment about tourtracker.com being a bit more up to date.

In this phenomenal world, videos, one of good quality were already up on You Tube from this show. The good one is of Bouree, familiar enough to not bother posting, but it is still very good and I always love to see whether Ian has put any new clothes on it, in small part I think done to keep people like us interested, and a small part of why something like the radical re interpretation of Aqualung or the contributions of the 3 girls were amongst the more interesting moments to me of Tull in the last 5 years. And when I think how hard I had to look to unsuccessfully find a current picture of the band when they were at least ten times as popular, even after all these years the internet is hands down the greatest toy of my life.

second greatest toy of your life, 'stray...get serious! You might have a point there my very good man but if I am correct in my perception of that which you imply, it would still be a neck and neck race as music and its co conspirator in the form of the internet and a free wonderland of legally downloadable music, (I don't as a rule download stuff that is supposed to cost money) has always been in a neck and neck race, usually winning, with the appendage providing stiff and resolute competition, but finally music wins, it has even cost me a couple very special relationships, re, which do you love more. Your ex's claim of being tired of living in a goddamn Jethro Tull museum truly rang personal bells.

You're right...when it's all said and done....music has brought me more joy than the aforementioned competiton...and less headaches....and, judging by the way things are going at 51....when the final score is figured....music will indeed be far ahead.

I didn't expect my road to Damascus moment when I hit my 50's regarding music cause unlike you guys I neglected my passion for music for many many years for reasons I've probably babbled on about before. It's impossible to put into words how vital it all is now and my only inkling ( I refuse to use the word - regret) is that I didn't make it a full time career when I was younger. I wouldn't have given a s*** if I had earned peanuts but it would have made Monday mornings a hell of a lot easier!
