ok i have never, to this day, been told the whole story of this. ive heard some of it had to do w/ the record co.-- ive also heard john evan and ian had a falling out over contuning to tour after the death of john glascock. what is the real reasoning/story behind all this now...?

Things were kinda tense anyway, for various reasons: different opinions on touring frequency, inevitable musical differences, stress from the untimely death of john Glascock, too much time together....ian agreed to do a solo album....got a few new musicians but kept MB...and when it was finished, The record company said: it looks like Tull, it sounds like Tull, it smells like Tull...bettter make it a Tull album....so they did...and wholesale changes followed, in a chaotic manner...eventually all for the best.
