I know it probably isn't a good idea to over analyse lyrics. However, I have never really understood the underlined words below;
Really don't mind if you sit this one out. My words but a whisper your deafness a SHOUT. I may make you feel but I can't make you think. Your sperm's in the gutter your love's in the sink.
Does anyone know what Ian meant by these lines? Particularly "your love's in the sink".

Your deafness a shout: while Ian ís shouting to his audience litteraly on stage, he feels like shouting in an empty desert, because nobody really listens. The 'non-listening' is overwhelming; sort of.
Your're sperm in the gutter: you're offspring, your children don't make it well in the dark future.
You're love's in the sink: in these hippiedays everybody did it with everybody, real love - keeping your sexuality for a special one person - didn't excist really anymore. It was throne out the window, flushed in the sink.
