Isn't Big Dipper the name of the Roller Coaster in Blackpool? we have one called that in Santa Cruz , California, as well. They do beatle tours in Liverpool...maybe Blackpool and London deserve Tull tours.....are there elephants in Piccadilly Circus? Why do you guys call traffic roundabouts circuses..is it from latin or the way people drive in them?

.....are there elephants in Piccadilly Circus? Why do you guys call traffic roundabouts circuses..is it from latin or the way people drive in them? A bit of both really. Actually, circus is only used for certain special types of roundabout and are part of the hierarchy of roundabouts based on size. From largest to smallest, we have gyratory system, circus, roundabout, mini-roundabout and pothole. Oh, and there are elephants in Picadilly Circus but they're really, really tiny! Cheers, Jioffe.
