New Day Yesterday (Live) audio only114 views Jan 20, 2022 Martin Barre - Topic 733 subscribers Said this before, but if Martin teamed up with a proper vocalist these would be great. The sneering voice and gurning antics of Dan Crisp (with respect) are not for me, and always sound like a pub band. The same goes for the studio albums.

I would agree to a point,Dan is the best Martin has used to date to be fair. Some of the vocalists on his 'The Meeting' cd were not too good tbh,he even replaced 1 guy who sang Running Free. You would think he would be able to get a real top notch guy for the job though.

Rather than hold proper auditions and tap into the great vocal talent that is out there, Martin seems to drift into things with mates and people he already knows. His interpretations of the Tull catalogue could be brilliant. As it is, it comes over as little more than a tribute act.
