Hello. I just wanted to update you on the new book about Jethro Tull. Lend Me Your Ears, containing the memories of over 400 fans, is being published this summer. It’s the Tull story in the words of fans from around the world, along with tales from friends and collaborators accumulated over more than 50 years in the music business. Contributors to the book include: Jeffrey Hammond, Dave Pegg, Dee Palmer, Doane Perry, Penn Jillette Penn & Teller), Marc Almond (Soft Cell), Steve Harris (Iron Maiden), Steve Lukather (Toto), Bryan Josh (Mostly Autumn), Graham Bonnett (Rainbow), Lloyd Grossman, Tim Bowness, Mikael Åkerfeldt, Seth Lakeman, Leo O'Kelly (Tír na nÓg); Mark Billingham; and Ian Anderson. The first draft of the manuscript is now in the hands of Ian’s management. So if you’ve sent a story in, it’s probably going to be in the book too. But please don’t write and ask me if you’ve definitely made the cut, because until the book has been designed and the final edit completed, I can’t answer that question. (However, I will do my best to update you nearer the publication date and give you the chance then to see a screenshot of your story before you decide whether to buy the book). If you’ve sent me a story and promised me an image which you haven't quite got around to sending, I need it by 28 February please. And if you haven’t sent a story in yet but are meaning to do so, please note that the deadline for submissions is also 28 February. Finally, the publisher will be producing a very limited special edition of the book featuring reproduction items of rarely seen memorabilia. If you have any items that you think might be suitable for inclusion in this and which you would allow to be photographed, please let me know and I’ll pass your details on to the publisher (UK-based fans only please). Want the Latest News on the Book? To get on the mailing list for this book please visit the publisher’s website at thisdayinmusicbooks.com/contact/ and enter your details. Oh, and here’s the cover art…. Richard Houghton

Richard Houghton March 14, 2022, 5:57 PM (12 hours ago) Hello. If you haven't already seen the news on social media, I'm pleased to be able to tell you that the new book about Jethro Tull, Lend Me Your Ears, has been confirmed for publication on 15 September 2022. The book is going to be available as a 432 page full colour paperback edition, but also as a hardback (the hardback is only available as part of the special edition box set). More details on both editions of the book, including how to order, can be found by following this link: thisdayinmusicbooks.com/product/jethro-tull-lend-me-your-ears/To guarantee getting a copy of the special edition, you are strongly recommended to pre-order your copy. (The deluxe special edition sold out in less than 24 hours). Pre ordered copies come with free shipping. If you have sent in a story for the book, I will be able to confirm whether or not your story has made the cut once the book has emerged from design. I expect this to be around mid April. We are trying to include as many stories as possible, although some have been edited for length. If you want to know for definite whether your story has made the cut before placing an order, please respond to this message and I'll update you just as soon as I am able. There will still be an opportunity to pre order once you receive confirmation. Best wishes Richard Houghton thisdayinmusicbooks.com/

Yay! My box has arrived - so will be unpacking it shortly. So excited! And it is a fabulous set - but I should have asked to see the proof of my page as I'm in it - but my name is wrong Still, I've been given the surname Wood - so all the Songs From that album are mine - ALL MINE! I can't say I'm not disappointed but, hey, there are worse things that could happen . . .

By Alexander Macinante ...After a long odyssey of couriers and customs, finally here is the superdeluxe edition with a piece of flute that belonged to Ian and signed cardboard. I'm very curious to open the box with the book!
