The album A Passion Play has been in my possession for a long time but only recently I found out that there is something strange with this album with serial number CHR 1040 It concerns the label of side A, there is a completely different label, namely a label that fits Leo Sayer's LP Silverbird. (see Appendix). The music on this side does fit the album. My question now is whether you are familiar with this pressing and how special it is. Attachments:

Not seen this fault before but I would think that given the nearness of the catalogue numbers means that it is a pressing fault and that someone just picked up the incorrect printed label before it got attached to the slab of vinyl prior to being finally pressed up. Some collectors like such mis-pressings so it might be worth while listing it on ebay. Welcome to the JT Forum oof

On a similar topic. When "Minstrel in the Gallery" came out in 1975, the back of the album, with the band photo, track listing, etc., was upside down. I bought the album in Edinburgh the day it was released and asked the guy in the shop about it. He looked through other copies they had and said they were all the same. I wonder whether this was a printing error & if later releases of the album were the same.

I'll peek at my MITG record. needless to say, I bought it early. First batch of 'Bursting Out' covers said 'Busting Out' on the sleeve.
