I'm a french tull amateur (sorry for the approximate translation, a mix of harrap's, google and school memories) who need an answer.
I recently bought in second hand a CD of Jethro Tull called "Skating on thin ice-Maryland broadcast 1977 2cd set", you can see the cover below.
By chance, I loved it immediately and it has excellent sound quality, but I'm a bit confused: what is this album?
It has cheap and lousy packaging, I don't know the label "Unicorn" , the inside booklet is dreadful, all my CD players refuse to play it except my PC...
I'm unable to find it in Jethro Tull's discography on wikipedia or in this forum, unless I'm mistaken; it looks like a pirate album.

I'll be glad if someone could help me.
Thank you in advance.
JETHRO TULL: Skating on Thin Ice LINK This two CD set features a dynamic show from the band's 1977 tour, recorded at the Capital Centre in Landover, Maryland. Songs include Wond'ring Aloud; Skating Away on Thin Ice; Velvet Green; Hunting Girl; Too Old to Rock 'n' Roll; and more. Twenty-two tracks.
They stole the audio from the official Tull "Songs Fom The Wood-The Country Set" book set from 2017 and the front cover photograph, which I took in Hamburg in May 1977, from me. So please don't give those bandits your money! Trade for free.

Thanks for the info Carsten. I thought I'd recognized the image as yours but I wasn't sure.

Sorry to hear that, I bought the CD in a second-hand well-known store in Paris.
jackinthegreen: Cream without Eric??? Santana without Carlos?? and not even with a stand-in player.....you're easily pleased, I reckon most people would not be happy to say the least...

jackinthegreen: If it was Scott that got Covid would they have played the gigs without a drummer?

ash: It's Tull not Cream and my answer stands. Now it there was no flute player...No flute no Tull . I've seen Ian play with just an ipod backing track it was great

jackinthegreen: and I've seen Ian doing his one man thing with just the backing track too, but that's not billed as a Jethro Tull concert.....

jackinthegreen: I do agree he's brilliant at playing to his own backing tracks though

smint100: Good Lord, why did no one tell me about the radio.net! I've spent a joyful afternoon in the garden watching the strawberries ripen - I mean, editing a book - and listening to unadulterated Tull. Heaven!
