Ten, right now, quick response: APP Brick Minstrel Brick 2 WarChild Crest Broadsword SFTW HH Under Wraps It's cool to see Under Wraps crack a top ten. I thought I'd be its biggest supporter by placing it at 15. I didn't consider Brick 2 for my rankings, but it probably would've placed somewhere in the middle if I had.

I always have a great problem with polls such as this 'cos I can't decide which is my favourite on any given day or which is my least favourite but. . . I would rank This Was a lot higher along with Benefit but put TOTRnR a fair bit lower and keeping Passion Play at #1.

Why does LITP always get bypassed? It should be considered an official release. Here is what the album might look like:
Side 1
1) LITP 2) Up the pool 3) Nursie 4) Driving Song 5) Sweet Dream
Side 2
6) Dr. Bogenbroom 7) For Later 8) Love Story 9) Wondring Again 10) Singing All Day 11) Life’s a Long Song
What a great album!

That's okay. :-) However, how sweet to see Minstrel in the Gallery at the very top - "Baker Street Muse" is one of the greatest songs in history. So, your heart icon remains! :-) It is hard to place one album at the top, so I will name all albums tied for first place: 1 Minstrel in the Gallery ❤️ 1 Aqualung 1 Thick as a Brick 1 War Child 1 Benefit 1 A Passion Play 1 Stand Up

I would like to put '20 Years Of Jethro Tull' on my list, but it is a compilation album too. A lot of great songs from mid/later period of JT which had no place on the official albums.

Yeah, I also liked that collection as well, and it had a wealth of previously unreleased material. It has always been curious as to why some of those stellar songs were left off the corresponding albums. Perhaps Ian thought the songs were not a good artistic match for the rest of those albums? It seems that they had a whole album worth of songs in 1981, but the decision was made to scrap those songs and record different one's for the "Broadsword" album. I actually preferred many of those unused songs, to a couple of the weaker tracks on Broadsword. He really should have either released two different albums or combined the songs into an exceptional double album.......something Tull never did.

Thank you, i like your clever list too Yes, it's not so usual Minstrel in the Gallery being on number one but i think is very special and sure it is for me, hence my heart icon, so i am glad you find it sweet I agree with your view about Baker St. Muse. As for Living in the past, Tullabye reminded us about it, he's right. Have a good time in here!

I think the early JT albums 'This Was', 'Stand Up', and 'Benefit' are all quite marred by dated production. If it weren't case, they would be much better placed at my Top albums list. Especially 'Benefit'. Even 'Aquqlung'album imo always suffered from shoddy production and/or mastering.

Especially 'Benefit'. Even 'Aquqlung'album imo always suffered from shoddy production and/or mastering. I haven't listened to This Was on crackling vinyl, and in mono as well, for some time but the original cd release was a vast improvement and has got better with any subsequent release. What passed for state of the art recording equipment in 1968 seems almost primitive by today's standards and I've often wondered what an album like This Was would sound like if it had been digitally recorded but then I suppose the title says it all.
