Dun Ringill by Jethro Tull (cover version recorded at Dun Ringill)
"Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull lived at Kilmarie House on the Isle of Skye in Scotland for several years and wrote many classic tracks there. One of those was Dun Ringill from the 1979 Stormwatch album. Dun Ringill is an old fort just around the coast from Ian's old house and so as huge Jethro Tull fans my friend Neil and I decided to pay tribute by visiting the location that inspired the song and recording our own version there. Thanks to Ian Anderson and all members of Jethro Tull past and present for the music and the inspiration to pay a visit to what is a particularly beautiful part of the country. Having been there I now feel I have an even better understanding (and appreciation) of Ian's music from around that time." Colin Anderson
