Hi to all. I have been reading this forum for a long time now, and it's time I actually signed up and said "Hello" to all here. I'll never be a terribly well informed or heavy duty contributor, but will join in where and when I can. Nice to belong!

'Afternoon, all (leastways, "Afternoon" here in the currently sunny East Yorks). Thanks to all for the very welcome "welcome"! My opening post was made rather late last night, so here's a little more background. An (almost) ancient 62, I've been a Tully for as long as I remember. Not so much latterly, my real love for Tull was born in the early to mid 70s with the classic line up which spanned the albums Living In The Past to Heavy Horses. A bass player myself, Tull have always been of particular joy to my ears. Indeed, at the time Peggy joined (Fairport being another passion...) I wondered how life could possibly get better. But now... looking back, it's been an odd and contradictory journey... Were you to ask me now I'd say the saddest day was the one when Jeffrey walked out of the band. I'll probably make a better job of explaining my thoughts on that subject when I get around to making those inevitable contributions to the JHH thread! But for now, simply, I'll leave it at saying thanks to all who've extended welcome, and I look forward to interesting exchanges. Chug a lug...

With apologies to ancient Maddog and babtface Geostrehl, I would guess that 62 is just about median age in our Tull club.
