IA seems to be a workaholic so I would imagine any downtime from touring will be used productively on the new album. The UK government has suggested that the over seventies stay at home and self isolate and I struggle to think anywhere overseas we can travel on holiday at present if we wanted to. Maybe an ideal excuse to get in the studio.

Has he said that he will make a new album? Now is the time to do it, but don't take any chances Ian... keep away from from the virus... If you can... Jethro Tull forever!

From Jethro Tull HQ UK SHOWS CANCELLATIONS Over the last three days, we have been speaking with most of the venues hosting these shows and have come to the unfortunate conclusion that we will have to cancel our performances. With no available dates now left to reschedule in 2020 and even into the first few months of 2021, we have agreed that it’s better to cancel rather than postpone. If you have bought tickets to these shows, please understand the huge burden that all UK performing arts venues are dealing with on ticket refunds at this time. It is best that you wait for the venues to contact you regarding ticket refunds rather than calling them as they will be dealing with an unprecedented workload. Please be patient if you can and support their hard work on behalf of all their customers. We have agreed to implement the venues’ cancellation policies in Yeovil, Cheltenham, Lincoln, Leeds, Buxton, Blackheath, Southend on Sea and Guildford. We have yet to finalise the remaining one but hope to do so as soon as we are able to correspond with them. Once again, sincere apologies for the cancellations of these shows. As of now, the September/October Prog Years shows remain unaffected. Please support Jethro Tull and the UK entertainment industry and continue to buy tickets as soon as you feel safe to do so. We hope to see you later in the year.

This is really a pity. I was looking forward to hearing some recordings of these shows more than anything else (besides, obviously, from a new album). Worse still that they have been cancelled, as it's the type of shows I think would work best with the current state of his voice (as is evident from the recordings of the Christmas concerts these past few years, or the acoustic tour he did some 10 years ago filled with rarities).

⚡️ ANNOUNCEMENT FOR JETHRO TULL CONCERT IN THESSALONIKI Fb LINK
Our beloved Thessaloniki, who offers us great concert emotions every now and then, should be patient a little more for the return of Ian Anderson and the great Jethro Tull.
The new and unprecedented conditions related to the global crisis of Covid-19 unfortunately make the Jethro Tull concert impossible on Thursday, September 10th at the Monastery of Lazaristes, which shows its transfer to Technopolis Municipality of Athens on Saturday, September 12
Those who received tickets for the Thessaloniki concert from Public, OPAP or IANO stores can contact the respective stores during their opening hours, from July 13 to 23, for the return of their price.
Electronic tickets holders will receive the price of their purchase, directly on the card through which the transaction was made, within the next 10 working days.

Praying for TULL 2020 by Frekia Prog There are only 5 days and a few hours left to see Ian Anderson / Jethro Tull at the Porta Ferrada Festival.
It will be, with the permission of the SARS-CoV-2, on Wednesday, August 12 at 10:30 p.m. in the Guíxols Arena space. Two days earlier, Monday, August 10, Ian will be 73 years old. Let's hope that everything goes well and that these times of sudden changes in which we are immersed do not play a trick on us. So, if everything goes well, see you soon in Sant Feliu de Guíxols.

As sad as this is, I prefer SAFETY FIRST...Sadly, Jethro Tull has to postpone the concert on the 12th August in Spain next week due to UK Government quarantine restrictions and advisory against travel. We hope that the concert will be postponed to the summer of 2021 which we will confirm in due course. Our apologies to our fans but these matters are out of our hands.
Take care, be safe. Ian Anderson, Jethro Tull

- Jethro Tull facts #5 - ⭐️ Numerous musicians have passed through Jethro Tull, including Dave Pegg, bass player and longest member of the legendary folk rockers Fairport Convention Band, and of course the huge Tony Iommi of the gods Black Sabbath.
