Something very special !!!! LINK Yes, Tullianos. One afternoon with Ian Anderson ... We could have also titled An intimate evening with Ian Anderson ... Because that's what it's about: spending an afternoon in intimacy with Ian Anderson, two hours with Anderson for us alone ... Anderson will come, answer our questions, explain things to us, play some songs with the guitar and the flute, show us how he composes the songs, take pictures with us, sign autographs ... Can you imagine it? And all, in a small meeting with 100 people ... What was said: unimaginable, unique, special !
We have tried to make this unique encounter during a weekend, but you already know what Anderson's agenda is ... Finally it will have to be during the week, although we know that this can make the presence of Tullianos from the rest of Spain difficult. But you can believe that we have done everything unimaginable. It was this or lose the opportunity to organize a meeting that is the dream of any fan.
Thus, finally the meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 22, at 7:00 p.m.
The place will be the Castle American Lake, in Gavà (calle Castelldefels, 11).
As we have said, the meeting is reserved for only 100 people.
The organization of the act represents an extra expense for the association, both in time and money. But we believe that it is an opportunity to claim Tullianos as an atypical and special association.
We have organized the tickets in three groups: € 10: Member who is up to date with the payment of the fee € 20: Extra ticket purchased by a Member who is up to date with the payment of the fee € 30: General public or partner who has not paid the annual fee Obviously, we will give priority to our partners. We will not book tickets for the general public until a week after this mail.
Send an email to avillan1@xtec.cat identifying yourself and indicating the number of tickets you want. In the next three or four days, make the transfer to our OpenBank account n. ES58-0073-0100-5305-0514-8983 The same day of the match, from an hour before, collect your tickets at the box office.
As you see? We know that for those who are from outside of Catalonia, doing it during the week is a problem ... But there has not been another solution ... In principle we had reserved the date of Saturday, May 25, but finally Anderson had a problem. .. It was now or never ...
From the Board of Tullianos we can assure you that we are, at the same time, nervous, proud and excited.
We await your opinions and your emails. Hugs, Albert

Talk about ENVY...but the Tullianos deserve it. They have earned Ian's respect and attention over the years. This will be a very special event and we are lucky to have Remy as our eyes and ears. My first thought was...fly to Barcelona....but then reality intruded.

Una tarde con Ian Anderson, el 22 de mayo en Gavá (Barcelona) Salute to Remy (TULL 50) and The Tullianos Meeting with Ian Anderson in Gavà LINK 100 fans will be able to share this afternoon with the leader of Jethro Tull on American Lake Ian Anderson, the leader of the Jethro Tull will be on Gavà this Wednesday to share an afternoon with a small number of fans. It is a meeting designed for only 100 people, an event that, according to the president of the Association of Tullianos , Albert Villanueva , "is unprecedented and extraordinary because the artist is not accustomed to doing them . " Villanueva explains that "the initial date was on May 25 but for reasons of the musician's agenda it was modified and that arose on the initiative of Anderson himself, which is still more incredible"
Villanueva also explains that "this kind of meeting will be the only one that the artist will do in Spain, and in the rest of Europe he will only repeat it in three or four more cities."
During the meeting, which will begin at 7 pm and will last for a couple of hours, Anderson will show demonstrations with the flute and guitar of how the songs compose and answer the questions of attendees who can ask for signatures and photos.

A very personal History about American Lake from Sir Remy The American Lake is a place with a lot of history, Albert, the president of Tullianos has written a historical novel about the American Lake, apparently during the civil war was a place where the resistance against General Franco met, during the Republic, Catalonia was Independent. As it is known General Franco won the war and became a Dicator of Spain and abolished the Catalan Republic and the Catalan government, the president of Catalonia and the majority of the Catalan government were shot, my grandfather had to hide in the mountains and others marched into exile. LINK 1 LINK 2 Tower of the American Lake (Gavà - Baix Llobregat) LINK 3 American Lake was a playful complex for the bourgeoisie that enjoyed great popularity during the 1920s. His promoter was the naval entrepreneur Artur Costa Martí (1869-1930), who bought the land at the end of the 19th century and built his summer turret. From 1917 the great recreational space began to be built, which had a hotel and restaurant, gardens with three temples and a lake with pier, which constituted the main attraction and that was part of the Can Tries Gavà district. There was also a tennis court, a chapel, a lane and even a small zoo. Confiscated by the Generalitat in 1936, it served as a military academy. In the year 1942 the heirs demolished the entire recreational complex and sold the lots to the General Society of Spain.
Only the tower, the old Villa Carmen, from 1898, was remodeled in the 90s of the 20th century, which is currently a municipal facility. Of eclectic style, the central tower gives an air of medieval castle.

The cult of Jethro Tull revives in Gavà Ian Anderson, historical leader of the British group, starred in an unusual meeting with members of the Tullianos fan club
Gavà - Thursday, 05/23/2019 Updated on 05/24/2019 at 00:35 CEST LINK Ian Anderson, beer in hand, with some of the Tullians who attended the meeting in Gavà, on Wednesday.
Ian Anderson Luis Manuel García Felonés Jethro Tull fans gathered there are still rubbing their eyes: this Wednesday they were able to share a couple of hours in a small committee with the historical leader of the group, Ian Anderson, among endearing songs and acidic notes. What will motivate an old rock star to take a plane in the United Kingdom and move to Gavà to meet a hundred types (overwhelmingly male) who will not let you go without a photo and an autograph on a faded cover of TAAB Special Edition ?
The founder and director of Tullianos, Club of Fans of Jethro Tull, Albert Villanueva, does not have the answer. But just a month ago he received an email from Ian Anderson, which, contradicting his rather elusive reputation, offered to offer a gentle face to face with the partners of this entity founded in 2003. The author of 'Aqualung' assumed all expenses, and there planted, with his flute, a small acoustic guitar and a selection of pre-recorded tracks, on the stage of the 'casal' American Lake, Gavà, a town converted into a place of pilgrimage of an ancient cult. Among the 'Tullians', presence of the mayor, Raquel Sánchez.
More rockers than Yes Ian Anderson practiced a kind of friendly discipline, a slightly martial severity offset by sarcastic notes. Assisted by a translator, he alternated autobiographical episodes with pieces of songs, beginning with the blues 'Someday the sun will not shine for you', from the group's first album, 'This was' (1968). He confessed that at that time he did not know how to put his fingers on the flute. "But we became a progressive rock band, wow!" He exclaimed with theatricality. "And that meant aligning with Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Yes, Genesis ... But Jethro Tull
Also his sense of humor is from another time: he gloated alluding to the former arranger and keyboardist of the band David Palmer, who consummated his desire to become a woman and is now called Dee Palmer. "He's playing with Martin Barre in the United States, and it's rumored that Martin is also going to change sex. I would be a great woman! " Territory slippery doubly: Barre, historical guitarist of the group, was excluded from the Jethro clan in 2012, after 44 years of relationship and without knowing why. None of the fans gathered dared to ask.
But Anderson did not fall into the egocentric caricature: he relativized his talents ("I do not know how to write music or have a musical education") and confessed that sometimes impatience had imposed itself on perfectionist zeal.
"I try to record each song in two takes. I get bored very easily. " He has written more than 300 compositions, he said. "I'm satisfied with 100 of them; another 150 seem right to me, and there are 50 more than I do not want to talk about," he said, finishing off with emphasis.
Before the bad news The present of Jethro Tull is a bit confusing, and the 'Tullians' did not waste time trying to clarify it. On its 50th anniversary, the 71-year-old leader uses brands such as Jethro Tull's Ian Anderson after assuring him that he was going to part with the group's name forever. They follow the reissues of the classics (the new one is the one of 'Stormwatch', of 1979, with remixes of Steven Wilson, exPorcupine Tree) and a disc is outlined by 2020. "But I do not make plans beyond two or three years. I have concerts closed until 2021. I know that sooner or later there will be bad news, but I hope to have fun in the decade ahead. "
Anderson extended there on his concerts in cathedrals in the United Kingdom, aimed at raising funds for his rehabilitation. Performances in which he has counted with guests such as the late Greg Lake, Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden) and Marc Almond. Would he do it in Barcelona? "Oh, I do not think they ask me. It is not so easy to do that in Catholic countries, "he estimated (without taking into account the extensive concert curriculum of, for example, the Basilica of Santa Maria del Pi).
After a furious 'Locomotive Breath' corresponded to tend a long line of fans who carried their relics, the did not lend to shake their hands. "My tradition is to give the elbow," he justified. Albert Villanueva, 'Tullian' older, breathed proud of the feat. There will be more: on July 6, Gavà will host its 16th Convention of Tullianos, and with another guest of honor: the purged Martin Barre with his band, on the tour that commemorates the 50th anniversary of his entry into Jethro Tull, a band , or a wake, that refuses to languish.

Hector Corley LINK Some days ago I had the huge honour, along with other 99 lucky fellows, of meeting one of my all-time musical heroes: Mr. Ian Anderson from jethrotull _.
I also had my Stand Up copy signed by the frontman himself. This is not a random album I picked from my dad's shelves. I bought this record with one of my first paychecks and it definitely hooked me up with Tull, opening the gates to the vast universe Anderson and the crew created along the years. Thank you, Mr Anderson, and thanks Tullianos for making it possible! --------------

Gavà is the capital of the Tullianos LINK There are many kinds of rockers, and all are considered authentic. But if there are some who are faithful to the genre and its reference group are the fans of Jethro Tull, an English band that marked an era in the seventies and eighties of the twentieth century. Ian Anderson, the leader of the band, is still active and wanted to take a bath with his passionate followers. And what better place to do it than the capital of the so-called Tullianos: Gavà.
It is not chance, rather it is will. The one of Albert Villanueva, a professor and writer of Gavà, who holds a position of great importance: he is founder and director of the Fans Club of Jethro Tull. Anderson wanted to meet new fans and wrote to ask him to organize a meeting in the city, with all the expenses paid by the star.
He arrived with his characteristic transverse flute, a small acoustic guitar and a selection of recorded tracks, and offered a historical concert in the emblematic American Lake of Gavà.

They were very happy to see me in a Tulliano shirt in distant California. I am so GREATFUL to Remy and The Tullianos for this incredible gift. I was unable to speak with Ian in 2018 or since 2012 which has become even more difficult. Regardless I felt that he remembered my Scottish Attire from the convention in October 1997. This was the first time I had worn these items in public as a tribute to The Anderson Clan.
