My son-in -law John Hogg is playing with Roger Daltrey tonight on the Graham Norton show. My two kids will be in the audience. Presume it will show on TV tomorrow night. I think. So excited. Nice family evening round the TV to look forward to. Watch if you can. Don't know if we will actually see him as the camera will be on Roger of course. Any way it's one of our most loved shows

The show introduces us to many British talents of whom we are unaware. What instrument does he play?

With Roger Daltrey he plays base guitar. He told me that he will be in the shadows on this one but is very excited to be there. We all love Graham Norton. The band he tours the USA with is called MAGPIE SALUTE and he is the vocalist. It's Rich Robinson's band formally of The Black Crows. There is a recording of a song called 'Omission' on this site somewhere. Under an old thread called something like "A funny Thing Happened last Sunday' when Magpie Salute shared a stage with JT. John has just got back from writing new songs with Rich in the USA, looking forward to hearing the results. Saw the photo for the album cover today. Looking great.

Thank you High Sheriff will certainly keep you up with developments as they come along. Little things mean a lot. Yesterday John showed me the photo for the album cover and pointed out that in the photo he is wearing my father's old coat, that had been passed down to my husband and then to him. Apparently it was deemed that this old coat, out of all the cool items they could have chosen, was the preferred attire for an album cover. That made me happy and probably had my father dancing a jig somewhere in the beyond. Old coats have a special place in my heart x

Very tight sound from the band - Roger still belting it out. I just love Graham Norton too Elmsliegirl.
Did John enjoy the experience?

Been meaning to say that as well as being a great band, I just love the name Magpie Salute. I salute a magpie nearly every day - it's the only 'warding off bad luck' action that I do apart from not walking under a ladder. Now I also think of your son in law's band when I salute - great bit of marketing! Why we salute the magpieBeautiful
