Evening all....
In anticipation of the Warchild Deluxe release I felt the urge to listen to the album again. ... in the car on a trip to town.
Now I don't like to take the MFSL's in the car so went for an original pressing instead. I prefer the sonopress in most cases.
Not sure why I haven't noticed this before but Warchild is the only CD up to Rock Island that I've not managed to track down over the years.
Quick search on the internet ... no joy
Can anybody confirm it was released as sonopress?
Thanks Alasdair

WarChild In listening tests that I know of - the (slightly brighter on some systems) UK CD (CCD 1067) compared well with the MFSL gold CD. A problem with the 2002 remaster is the too bright cymbals as noted by others.
The UK CD is missing about 10 seconds of song intro tea talk.

Many Thanks Tootull
The UK cd CCD1067 I have is a 'Made in Japan for UK' press which is great.
I agree on the remasters, most of which for some reason leave me with a headache if listened to at any reasonable (wife and kids away) volume... I do wonder however if there is a sonopress release....

Hold on to the MFSL WarChild, it will be hard to top this CD - the unique stereo mastering of the gold CD is pretty much perfect to me. Let's call it best in cymbals... Wow - I can't find a listing for WarChild on Sonopress anywhere. By this Aqualung Chart - the Sonopress is the same as the Sanyo Japan CD & the UK CDP 32 1044 2. I wonder if this holds true for the rest of the Sonopress Tull. ??
