For that price I'd want Martin to play it for me every weekend.

Lovely guitar........ How did the seller get it.... .....as far as the rest of the stuff he is selling it's definately the odd one out.... and it's too dear.... ....why not start the bidding lower to get people in... ....or did he pay 3.5k for it.....

I don't think its over priced.
You can pay £3K easily for a deep flamed 513 and I have never seen that gorgeous red before in a full blown custom 513 so say £3.5K for the guitar alone.
Plus the provenance and you are easily in the realms of upwards of £4K.
Like the man said "I wish I had 4k spare". Someone, sadly not me, will have. Good luck to the seller.

I took the liberty and asked the seller on ebay who immediately came back with....
"The guitar was purchased in June 2005 from Mansons Guitar Shop in Exeter (phone 01392496379). Mansons, at that time, did much work for Martin and acquired the guitar direct from him. I have a letter from, and signed by, Martin on Mansons headed paper stating that he had once owned this ruby red guitar and that it should be enjoyed as much as he did. Mansons can confirm this and indicate any previous history concerning Martin Barre if you wish to contact. It is also possible to determine the guitar is the same as pictures of Martin playing this guitar by matching the unique deep flaming and coloration - which is superb. The guitar is unchanged in any regard since it was purchased from Mansons. Thank you for your enquiry and happy bidding. Regards Sharon"
...and judging from the picture of MB with it on stage (shown on the ebay advert), then I agree, it has the same flaming. As far as I can see at least.

No one needs to "bugger off" - that is the guitar.
Wow - I am going to start saving - quick.
What a beauty. Wonder why this seller is getting rid?
