Hope this is the right thread, and also that I haven't posted something that has already been posted elsewhere. But I thought this was ironically humorous, since they're presently touring ...

Salmon Is Progressive
Apparently Sainsbury's has been getting loads of sustainable smoked salmon from a business set up by old prog rocker Ian Anderson.
The supermarket says that the food is sourced from Strathaird Salmon, created by the former Jethro Tull frontman on the Isle of Sky in Scotland.
All of this made me wonder. Why don't more musicians move into the world of food when they give up the hedonism of rock n roll?
You could have Ringo Starr onion rings (onion "Ringos"), David Bowie kievs, or Mick Jagger's hash browns.
Here's some more:
• Amy Winehouse jam (all flavours)
• Kate Bush biscuits
• Cliff Richard cheese
And I've heard Jimmy Page does a good quiche.

Ian Anderson is still activ in Jethro Tull, and not the former head, indeed they are on their 40th annv tour right now. How many 'old' Rockers can even get up for a tour, let alone help run a thriving corporation that has brought gains in the economy to the Isle of Skye?

Hello (Ian Anderson)/(Isle of Skye) "created by the former Jethro Tull frontman" Excuse me, STILL Jethro Tull front man. Celebrating 40 years of Jethro Tull 1968-2008.

As far as I know, being an extremely ardent Jethro Tull fan of many decades, and a thrice visitor to Ian Anderson's estate on the Isle of Skye, Scotland, Ian Anderson largely divested himself of interest in Strathaird salmon about ten years ago, (Strathaird being the section of the Isle of Skye where this enterprise was begun in the early eighties?, and Ian Anderson was the Laird of Strathaird). I think I recall reading that the then newly discovered biohazard of farm grown salmon influenced his decision on what had become and may still be a very thriving enterprise.
