I post this in celebration of the late, the great, the missed Leonard Cohen... This song is taken from his masterwork, I'm Your Man...

Inspired by Maddog's new avatar, I came to think of this song by Alice cooper... The only reason I have decided to post this song, is because I like it... wishing everyone well, and no one to hell... enjoy... The song kicks off at 0:38...

Now I'm not a big john Denver fan, but this song is to me stunningly remarkable... When I listen to the lyrics and the song I actually become homesick for West Virginia... and I have never been to West Virginia... I find that quite remarkable...
"Country roads, take me home To the place I belong West Virginia, mountain momma Take me home, country roads" - John Denver

This is a picture of my oldest daughter... She is 22 years old now... born in 1995... I listened to this song by John Denver and it captures the feeling I had of being close to her... For Baby - John Denver:I'll walk in the rain by your side I'll cling to the warmth of your hand I'll do anything to keep you satisfied I'll love you more than anybody can And the wind will whisper your name to me Little birds will sing along in time Leaves will bow down when you walk by And morning bells will chime I'll be there when you're feeling down To kiss away the fears if you cry I'll share with you all the happiness I've found A reflection of the love in your eyes And I'll sing you the songs of the rainbow A whisper of the joy that is mine And leaves will bow down when you walk by And morning bells will chime I'll walk in the rain by your side I'll cling to the warmth of your tiny hand I'll do anything to help you understand And I'll love you more than anybody can And the wind will whisper your name to me Little birds will sing along in time Leaves will bow down when you walk by And morning bells will chime

For Baby - John Denver: Beautiful song by John Denver which I had not heard before. Thank you Michael It's a very simple melody, but very sweet... I also find the lyrics to be very surprising... Especially the line: "Leaves will bow down when you walk by." Almost surrealistic, and it reminds me of the birth of The Buddha... According to the legend about his birth, the baby began to walk seven steps forward and at each step a lotus flower appeared on the ground... John Denver was into Zen Buddhism... So, why not? It's still remarkable to write something like that... I believe that It requires a very creative mind...

This is one of my Tull traditions that I would like to share with you... Every Cd I own with Jethro Tull/Ian Anderson has a Pussy Willow in the middle of the cd... Why? Because Ian Anderson wrote the song, Pussy Willow, and the Pussy Willow just happens to be one of my favorite plants... (Click on the picture to enlarge...)

I have just found something remarkable. I'm working with old people, and my mother said that Helmut Lotti might be something for them. I must say that some of his performances have surprised me... That's an understatement though... He makes me cry... So, I'd like to play this song for you... I love the flute, but only when Ian Anderson is playing it... and mostly anything that resembles opera is just not for me... but lo and behold... Here comes Helmut Lotti... If you like it, listen to Helmut Lotti goes classic 1, 2 and 3. Helmut Lotti, a classical Christmas, and Helmut Lotti goes classic, final edition... Hava Nagila... Take it away Helmut!! I'll put a spell on you...
Bonus tracks...
He is not Italien, French or German... He is from Belgium...

Good to start the day with a rousing 'Hava Nagilla'....on the way to work, my Kindle spit up 'Nothing to Say'....great song but sort of like pillow talk without the sex when 'With You There to Help Me' does not precede it.
