Thanks for all the new information guys, it seems that now the news start to accelerate, I'll just say that I feel a lump in my stomach every time I'm waiting for a new Anderson or Tull album, this has not changed since I'm a Tull fan. Looking forward to hearing some samples

"erratic" and "eccentric". Erratic would seem to be a judgement that someone seems chaotic relative to what would seem in their own best interests (a self-reference), where "Eccentric" would seem to be a judgement that someone seems chaotic in the eyes of others only, and that's where it stops, that the person may be in fact operating at peak capacity and all is well, even though the PTA or local bridge club doesn't invite them over much. Erratic doesn't suggest anything positive. It suggests entropy, a phase of outward random expansion.

Erratic doesn't suggest anything positive. It suggests entropy, a phase of outward random expansion. I believe Ian means "erratic" and not "eccentric". A clue is in one of the song titles: Per Errationes Ad Astra, which means (if my college Latin courses were of any use) "Through Wandering (errancy, misguided straying) To The Stars". This gives the idea of taking an erratic, unplanned path to a goal. EDIT: If I were to come up with the ideology behind "Homo Erraticus" (ie., Erratic Man, as opposed to "Homo Sapien", which is Wise Man), I would offer the Grateful Dead tagline "What a long strange trip it's been". In recounting previous lives, Ian is recounting history, and the history of man is not constant, but erratic, irregular and prone to wild swings from civilization and learning to barbarity and war.

Wowser!! I love the titles and imagery formed of the stories that may lie within.
Paid attention to History at school and I had four periods of Latin and the Classics a week at the nunnery/school that I went too so here goes...
1. Doggerland ..... The former landmass betwixt Scotland,N.E. England and Europe way out in the North Sea(Doggerbank) probably inhabited by humans around the Mesolithic period.
4. Wild Boy's Approach/Arrival?
5. Better Follow?
9. Dancing To War?
10. During/Towards?? The Wandering Stars?
It's looking good - lyric wise anyway.

As I said in my previous post, I am relying on my college Latin and Etymology classes (a hundred years ago) I was brought up in the Roman Catholic faith (also a hundred years ago and still lingering in my memory!) I used to have to recite a three hour Mass in Latin, with the help of the man in a long dress onstage.

Odd difference: Jethro Tull's Ian Anderson vs a logo that says : Jethro Tull Ian Anderson...whichever it is, it continues to honor the razor thin difference between a band with or without Martin Barre ?

Odd difference: Jethro Tull's Ian Anderson vs a logo that says : Jethro Tull Ian Anderson...whichever it is, it continues to honor the razor thin difference between a band with or without Martin Barre ? Yes... odd indeed! The words: "Jethro Tull's Ian Anderson" seems to say: "This is Ian Anderson who used to be a member of Jethro Tull..." and the: "Jethro Tull Ian Anderson," seems to say: "Jethro Tull and Ian Anderson is really one and the same thing..." The TAAB2 CD is according to the front cover not a Jethro Tull CD... but a CD made by the former member of Jethro Tull, namely Ian Anderson... Homo Erraticus is according to the front cover also an Ian Anderson CD, and Jethro Tull isn't mentioned at all, but in the Album Teaser Ian clearly states: "I am Ian Anderson from Jethro Tull." He doesn't say: "I was a former member of Jethro Tull." Does that mean that Jethro Tull, according to Ian, is still in existence?? Puzzling indeed... and when Ian said: "I am Ian Anderson from Jethro Tull..." does that mean that he has changed his mind about... "This is not Jethro Tull, if Martin isen't in it...?"

I'm just hoping 'Doggerland' isn't about people in cars.

Lots of flooding in Britain right now, do you think in his travels, the Erraticus character picked up any extra kayaks? Stay high and dry folks!

Not good. Those scotch factories at seaside will have to move uphill. Scotland has a new way to separate. Ireland! Gone! Where are people going to grow food? (transition to vertical farming coming right up!) However, notice that Tullamore (Dew) remains above tides. On the plus side, Brits have far less to travel to go fishing on the weekends.

Odd difference: Jethro Tull's Ian Anderson vs a logo that says : Jethro Tull Ian Anderson...whichever it is, it continues to honor the razor thin difference between a band with or without Martin Barre ? Jethro Tull as an entity has not officially been dissolved and both Ian and Martin are perfectly in their rights to use the group's name in publicity etc. On that basis should the pair "kiss and make up" in the future then Jethro Tull will be out and about doing the rounds of the large seat venues worldwide. Until that happens, it would be rather stupid to end up in a situation, rather like some groups, where you have 2 or 3 versions of the same group with one original group member in each, each one claiming to be the real thing.

I'm really excited about this forthcoming album and tour. In spite of the fan holy wars of recent times and the spate of negativity, I feel this is the best time to be a Tull fan. In the 35 years since I discovered JT (at the tender age of ten), I have enjoyed many great moments and special memories, but to be experiencing the artistic renaissance of the Tull machine at this late date in Ian's career is just too good to be true! I hope Ian continues making music into his 80s, like BB King!
THIS is the Golden Age!

I'm so glad I liked a musician that had such stamina.* *in the music department no idea about anywhere else.
