Alas! Although I have not been in bar bands since retiring a decade or so ago, I still needed a musical outlet; hence, I started the Dark Elf File, a music/literature/film blog, six years ago (just celebrated its anniversary last month): The Dark Elf FileNot knowing where to put this, I suppose this is the best sub-forum. My latest article is the Greatest Albums of the 21st Century: 2000 - 2013, Part One. Just to show you what I've been listening to this past century (other than old Tull remasters).

"Amplified Edith Bunker" is a disturbingly accurate description.
Nice list. Can't help but be happy when four of my favorite bands receive accolades (Tull, Yes, Tool, Nirvana). Even good old Henry Rollins gets a nod. Since the sharing of our own favorites is encouraged in the final note, I'll mention that Rush's "Limelight" always begins playing in my head when people discuss great opening riffs.
