I knew there was more to N.C. than Waffle Houses and historical neighborhoods.

When I was a bicycle messenger in LA I delivered airline tickets to Don Knotts a few weeks before he croaked...seemed like a nice guy....looked like himself in old age.

I would part with hard earned ( i.e. sitting in my office posting on Tull Forum on work time) money for a copy of the Ian/Ryan drawing.

David Koukol www.uglydogbooks.com/artistofthemonth.htmA very special artist from Attleboro, Massachusetts is the Artist of the Month at the Ugly Dog Bookstore. David does portraits, caricatures and many styles of drawing which can also be great works of Tullian Art.

I wasn't sure if there is a thread for this, but here is an idea... Tull Statues. Located in Asheville, North Carolina is the Biltmore Estate with some of the coolest art and statues. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biltmore_Estate

Beautiful building and relatively old Do you live there? I'm enjoying all your pics especially the one with the Broadsword shirt... on the beach!! The only time I recall seeing Broadsword shirts is when the coat, the jumper and then the sweatshirt would be peeled off in the pub because the alcohol was starting to kick in.

Beautiful building and relatively old Do you live there? My wife loves to go there, so we go. My favorite part is the Tull Statue of course. ;D Great photos, Jim! This looks like a wonderful place to visit! It's like being in a movie with Peter Sellers. ;D "Being There"Watch out for speed traps....'specially if you've got yankee plates. Asheville is a busy place. Speed traps are for small towns like Mayberry R.F.D. We like Yankees too, if they like Tull.

Astronaut joins Balsley from space for California concertGreen Bay's Bob Balsley, second from left, played a gig in Monterey, Calif., last month with Canadian astronaut Chris Hanfield (on the screen) performing along live from aboard the International Space Station. / Submitted/Courtesy Chris Holmes and EG Email correspondence with a woman involved in the conference revealed that they were looking for a guitarist for a performance at the event. It was until he Googled her that Balsley learned she was NASA astronaut Cady Coleman, who also plays flute in Bandella, a music group that includes Hadfield. Turns out she played a gig in 2011 live from orbit with Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull, who was on stage in Russia.Very cool article. Thanks Tootull! ;D [glow=yellow,5,300]Go Packers![/glow]Probably of interest only to Jim and I, but the Green Bay Press Gazette, where the singular miracle that is the Green Bay Packers were born along about 1921. ;D Well said!

Hey Jim. shouldn't those be Poppies red and roses filled with summer rain ? I'm still working on the poppies...These roses are happy for all the rain we've gotten. My oh my. It's been 40 years since I first saw Jethro Tull on May 19th, 1973. I was 'Sweet 16' and looking for any girl that would go to the show. Also my mother (mum) dropped us off. At the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina. Well the girl was 17 and worked at the same place I did. She had fun but all I got was lots of kissy and some extra fries. Of course becoming a Tull Fan was the best part!

My 40th coming up as well...same tour on 7-6-73...and this year I get to see them two days after anniversary. The roses look good.....I try to have good attitude about poppies...beautiful to look at...despite the problems they caused me for so many years.

Oh yes - looks like a great place to have a Tull Fest. Not many neighbours so the noise complaints would be negligible
