Remy! Take the next day off man! You can't pass these opportunities up. You're right, but in the car I was not alone, however I could share with them a good time at Sant Feliu backstage I'm sure there will be other opportunities

Tell you what Jim you certainly know how to get the most out of your ticket. Go On My Son !! Great Pics The HobGoblin Ale in-between John O'Hara and Ian was given to me at the bar by John O'Hara. ;D Tasted Great! Who's that on Ryan's shirt? Slash's sister of friend of Barrie Barlow, badass expired Jewess Amy Winehouse? That shirt reminds me of Johnny Depp as "Tonto" in the new Lone Ranger flick.

Back in 1989 Graham "Sealion" Smith and I, along with a host of other fans namely Mark & Kevin Collins, Adrian Tyte, Ian Burgess et at got the first UK Convention into being which was attended by Kenny Wylie, Dave Pegg and Martin Allcock. Subsequently Graham and I were invited back stage at that year's Cropredy Festival to meet the headmaster. The photo was signed the following year at the Oxford Apollo concert. Peggy and Maart at the '89 Convention. Very strange to see Peggy with a drink in his hand ;D Mick Abrahams at a Blodwyn Pig gig, 1990, in Walthamstow in north London. I have a lot of time for Mick; he is and was a great supporter of the UK Conventions and as Tull's first guitar player deserves the kudos that is attached to that. Not only is he a fine musician but a great bloke as well.

No Bunkerfan, you're not the only one. Come to think of it, I've never had my picture taken with anybody well known.

I certainly never thought I would have a picture taken with Ian. The worst part about it is, I look so horrible, I won't show it to anyone. I hope I get another chance some day.

North Carolina - First in Tull TULL.COM was the first plate I got for the 1999 Dot Com Tour in Baltimore, Maryland. J-TULL'73 was for the 2002 show in Asheville which represents my Tull Experience. AQUALUNG was in 2005 and got me pulled over twice by cops who thought it was a bong plate. TAAB2012 was last year's plate and is now enshrined in the Tull Cave.

[glow=red,2,300]North Carolina - First in Tull[/glow] Ah - good to put a face to a name. So, under the sub title "Advance and be recognised" any more members like to show their real selves ? You've seen my ugly face a few times so . . . no more from me unless large amounts of wonga are handed over.

Now THAT is a Tull cave Jim! First I really gotta say that your wife is a pretty good sport, sacrificing a corridor of her house to Tull worship, pretty sure she is not a fan, or a moderate. As a stern warning to potential other responses just talk to Bernie. I had a girlfriend that did a highly exacting reproduction of the UW circular Tull thing on my wall back then. She also made a very lovely framed pen and ink, (thats what they're called) drawing of Kilmarie, (in addition to the 4 homes my parents and we had lived in)IA's Skye home from pictures of mine on a couple uninvited lurkings, she joined me on a third, though was not much on camping out on a very wet Skye summer, with midgies terrorizing the air. We gave it to Gerd Burkhardt some sort of Tull manager in those years, who had hoped to get us backstage to present it, but came back saying something about their being over tired. We (she) did eventually receive a very nice thank you note, explaining that he recognized it immediately, on Strathaird stationary.

Thanks Tullist ;D My wife just wants it in a room where the people that stop by can't see. She went to gigs in '77. '82, and '97. I think the last one was more about going to Baltimore for her. Great story about the Tull artwork. It's hard to predict how much access you can have to the band. Sometimes Ian leaves with Shona if he meets fans privately after a show. Other times the guys like to hang out at a nearby bar for some drinks and a few friends. Any opportunity to meet someone from Tull is always a special moment.

Now, that's what I call the perfect cave. I'm assuming you've got a bar in there. The Tull Cave is actually upstairs from the bar although it's a short distance. My collection of HobGoblins represents celebrations from recent countdowns and John O'hara's gift. Of course when I get thirsty, a cold rum and coke works nicely too.

You'll have to lay down a fine stock of British beer with the above. I'd suggest you look at the beer thread as there are some fine ales to compliment what you already have and come highly recommended.

There should really be such a thing as a Tull Fan Tour where fans can tour around UK/US and visit places of Tull interest. Tull interest being heritage, Concert Halls, places mentioned in lyrics, hired bus passing the grounds of Tull Towers that sort of thing and most important Tull Caves and meeting the mad and wonderful Tull fans. Have you got accommodation Jim? ....Mrs Jim? ;D

Perhaps 1 or 2 folks at a time. Admission is a cold dark Scottish Ale.
