AMEN! Some YES is cool by me. You usually write what I think. True tullist.
(Not sarcastic)
True. Some is ok. I recall liking their cover of Every Little Thing, though it was a song that literally could not be improved upon, one of about 10 to 15 the Beatles did that were literally perfect, more than anyone I can think of, Bach and Miles Davis would likely be closest. And their cover of America I recall to have been very good, though still not besting the original. Close to the Edge may have its moments, but has been given every drop of credit it deserved. The likes of Yes, ELP and the bulk of prog Genesis are what the punks correctly railed against without having a clue of a credible reply, but Tull took the brunt of the punch and my god were those mf's wrong. And from that movement developed many things that were not a positive for the global gestalt.
Knighting people. Naming names...jtull07 WOW! Who knew? The cheque/check is in the mail.
CHECK! Fabulous Forum
Oh, but the rain wasn't made of water and the snow didn't have a place in the sun SIR! Peace!
My Limited Royal status is complicated by living in the United States of America. During the French Revolution, my ancestors made a daring escape to North Carolina before being killed by unruly subjects. The government here will not allow me to use Royal Powers outside of the Tull Cave. Therefore and to wit, anytime I am inside the Tull Cave, I can grant knighthood and ladyhood. Upon receiving such a warm and generous gratuity (cheque/check), I shall use those powers for all members. I grant Royalty to all members here We are all Royal now! ;D
Let's ask; what has this image got to do with this thread?

By the authority of the Tull Cave, Sir Tootull of Canada Does anyone believe the Queen in this picture is actually Ian Anderson in make-up or an actress?
Well done to the Forum, have to say I was not aware of this collaboration, so I want to congratulate everyone who participated on this, is a great work!
God save us all! I'm bad, don't you know? Actually, Queen Elizabeth II visited my family when I was so young. For an honour. -I won't continue with the story, I'll let your mind bend. Van Morrison & Them used to visit, too.
Sir Lancelot Martin Barre is shocked by the news.
Sir Lancelot was a knight of the mythical Round Table.

Sorry I did not get the whole "inside" joke, just a question. I tend to agree with Tullist on the whole "Dickenson" issue and was surprised to find out that he was awarded such a "title" as if it wasn't a joke in itself. I'll watch who I direct my questions to. Mark
whole "inside" joke What? Tell me more? I'll watch who I direct my questions to. Meaning?
It's joking, nothing too serious I would hope. I was not taking your post into consideration. Oh well.
No biggie, just never really got a straight answer and it was apparently an existing joke I wasn't aware of, didnt know it was a funny question until you guys let me know.

Thanks, Tootull, appriciate it, as I said no big, just felt like I stepped into somebodys joke. Just still trying to navigate the slick stuff. Still can't believe Dickenson deserves only a tap with a sword. The "Martin" question and the "is it Tull" question is of NO interest to me. I should've known better than to ask. It just looked like news the way it was presented Mark
There's a video going a round that makes a case for it being Ian but i think Ian, Ellis and all involved that have been asked have pretty much slapped away that theory.
Not smart enough at moments notice...could track it down at other Tull site where they chewed on it for quite some time...with people both fully believing the queen is Ian and others equally skeptical...It's on you tube somwhere, as well...sorry I'm lazy...it's quite worth seeing...if business in the psych ward is slow tomorrow I'll chase it down...promise.

With the magic of Photoshop and other enhancements, the image of Ian's face is morphed onto the Queen. This was done by someone who believes what he believes regardless of what Ian or Terry Ellis says. I would compare this to Donald Trump and his never ending search for Obama's Birth Certificate. Conspiracy theories are quite common at the other place.
nonrabbit: Hi aborealis and Welcome to the Forum. I haven't got an answer for you - maybe as you say, the days of PC. I also don't know what the original intro was either but I've just read this >>>
Jan 27, 2021 19:09:50 GMT
nonrabbit: from Tullpress about the opening night in question. Ian didn't sound like he was a happy bunny running up to it! www.tullpress.com/mm14oct78.htm
Jan 27, 2021 19:10:42 GMT
aborealis: Appreciate your reply nonrabbit. It's early days yet but I would like to get to the bottom of why the intro ," We welcome everyone on television ,the frogs and the sprouts, the daffodils the daygoes the ities ",etc.I can't believe Ian would want this removed
Jan 31, 2021 12:08:09 GMT
nonrabbit: I'm not familiar with it aborealis but if it is as you have put here, than I can see why it might be deemed not appropriate. Other than asking the band or the production team you may not get to the bottom of it.

Jack-knife Barber: Hello, who likes Coronach?
Feb 1, 2021 7:02:56 GMT
jackinthegreen: Hmmmm, its OK........but will not be to everyones taste.
Feb 2, 2021 1:13:42 GMT
jackinthegreen: I like it, but to anyone other than a Tull fan, I doubt it..........
Feb 4, 2021 0:59:50 GMT
jackinthegreen: Anyhow, how's everyone doing? It's cold here in Scotland, we have had a bit of snow, what's it like where you are???
Feb 4, 2021 1:01:29 GMT
jackinthegreen: Ok, so how many have had the vaccine???
Feb 6, 2021 1:20:59 GMT
steelmonkey: I got both shots but lack of side effects makes me suspect they took one look at me and said 'placebo'.
Feb 9, 2021 1:45:35 GMT
jackinthegreen: I had the 1st jab on Saturday, and I asked that very question.....but was told placebo's are only used in trials, so everyone who gets the vaccine gets the vaccine
Feb 9, 2021 14:29:12 GMT
jackinthegreen: ..and like you steelmonkey, all I had was a slightly sore arm for a couple of days, but some people get worse side effects as you say.
Feb 9, 2021 14:31:18 GMT
geostrehl: Got my 2nd Moderna this morning. The first one kicked my butt for a day, so I'm dreading the side effects from this second shot! But it's normal for young people with robust immune systems to get a stronger immune response. I guess 32 is young??? Oh well!

maddogfagin: Had my first AstraZeneca jab yesterday - quite painless
Feb 12, 2021 9:14:49 GMT
rredmond: Welcome walkingwithyou!! I don’t know the answer to your question, but someone else surely will!!
Feb 13, 2021 21:07:54 GMT
steelmonkey: Bad news maddog...if the jab was painless, they took a look at you and decided: placebo.
Feb 15, 2021 3:07:00 GMT
jackinthegreen: but there is no placebo...........
Feb 16, 2021 1:41:52 GMT
ash: My first AstraZeneca jab is next week . The sooner we are done the quicker it's back to seeing Mr A in concert and a "normal life"
