Just wanted to pop in to give my compliments for the title to this thread to P, and, having had a peak at the twitter thing, compliments to whoever gave title to "The pipe and monocle years", (not a bad title for a chapter in a likely never to be written definitive Tull biography) I definitely sense P. I know Ian would get a giggle if he knew none of us were watching. I am pretty sure I signed up to twitter a few years ago, I will get around to that thing...I have to say it is about ten minutes since I first read that and I am still laughing out loud when I think about it.

Thanks R! It's good fun as long as I don't get trigger happy with the "follow" buttons make a mistake and the Tull Forum ends up following Justin Bieber

The Forum had a twitter from George Pitcher author/priest and public relations secretary to the Archbishop of Canterbury and one of the organisers of the Canterbury soiree; "Just dropped Florian Opahle at Gatwick. Sat up drinking and listening to his flamenco til 3am. What a player - in every sense. @tullforum"

I clicked on this video link below, holy arrows at a Tull masterpiece, are these people nuts (don't answer that, I know), they always mention that it was a heavy metal Grammy, it clearly says hard rock first. Hard rock Tull. It's like banging your head against a heavy metal drum

Steel Monkey, heavy metal, the poor *old Grammy voters were sure to be confused. It was Tull's fault that they stole a Grammy. Like really. *I mean really old, ancient relics. Got a sell-by date. Soon be out of stockWhat makes a music lover mad?=Arrows at a Stand Up cover. Our Twitter account is gaining membership - we now have 710 followers. The meedya likes to quote some funny tweets that pop up now and then so I'll post some interesting/funny ones that appear about Tull. "Love or hate Jethro Tull, Ian Anderson's favourite albums list is, while occasionally baffling, totally fascinating" @jeffen "Ian Anderson would be afraid of me if he knew how many pictures of him I have on my computer. "@michelle "Denmark used a tin whistle to win Eurovision. Let's up the stakes next year and get Jethro Tull with Ian Anderson's flute as UK entry."@geoff Cox* * Now there's a thought!

"Off to work with the glorious sound of Ian Anderson last night at the Albert Hall still buzzing through my head. #excellentnightout"
"After seeing Ian Anderson in concert tonight for 1st time in 34yrs, what he does with a flute is, quite frankly, astonishing"
"Just back from Royal Albert Hall where #IanAnderson provided a lovely bit of slap n tickle & Fray Bentos pie: always a winner #TAAB2"

Not tweets but funny Youtube comments "Just when I think I found all Tull songs I find 40 more..." and from a Scandinavian Tull fan; " I don't sail across the North Sea to murder English monks often, but when I do I listen to Jethro Tull."

I always misheard the 'Part of the machine' line with 100% opposite meaning: I heard " Smart guys are running the whole damn tribe'...which seems to make perfect sense till I read the real words: 'smart guys aren't running, they're home and dry'

She wore a black tiara rare gems upon her fingers or in my world... She wore a black begula, red gems upon her fingers ( difficult to wear a whale I reckon ) Reminds of that New York taxi driver. When asked what he thought of Wales, replied Is that da big fish or them singing bastards?

" He's had half an hour - are we at war yet?" Not yet. He only gets the code for the red button when he officially takes over. In the meantime they're changing the code to "1 - 2 - 3 - 4" to make it easy to remember.
