Interesting video montage, published on 14 July 2012 by kerecseny1
A fuvolás
Jethro Tull, a lótenyésztõ ír Egykor még nem sejtette, hogy nevét szárnyra kapja majdan a világhír. Fuvolán csillantja ezüst hevét báj és erõ, mi a csövön kifér, skótkockás ingben szakállas fazon, nyurga bohóc, lasztexe hófehér, füstködök foszlanak a színpadon.
Fél lábon ritmust ringató gólya, szíjas combokkal pózolva: Ian, a talentum felfûtött kohója perzsel, eléget! Fején rõt selyem- kendõvel fedett, ritkuló sörény, vén lókötõ, képen legyint pimasz mókája, szemében bohókás fény kacsint, penge száján kölyökgrimasz.
Együtt vágtatunk a végtelenbe, hajszolva egymást ûzõ futamok vad lovasát, szédülve, kerengve szívjuk a szúrós verejték szagot! Majd higgadva térdelünk a dallam szõttesén, ujjbegyében ránduló idegszállal kelta, skót, ír, vallon motívumot hímez, vagy halkuló
hangszerén át érzéki költemény érveréseit tapintja ujja, könnyed, szertelen trillák dús, tömény ritmusát csövön dünnyögve fújja. Füstködön áttûz a skótkockás ing, szõrén lovagolja a rock szilaj, betörhetetlen mámorát, s megint örömzenét dübörög a talaj!

Uploaded by adiabatka on 5 Feb 2010 In Czech you can know this song as "Batalion" too
PLAY MINSTREL PLAY Underneath the harvest moon Where the ancient shadows will play and hide... With a ghostly tune and the devil's pride... "Stranger" whispered all the town Has he come to save us from Satan's hand? Leading them away to a foreign land...
Play for me, minstrel, play And take away our sorrows... Play for me, minstrel, play And we'll follow... Hear, listen, can you hear, The haunting melody surrounding you, Weaving a magic spell all around you...
Danger hidden in his eyes, We should have seen it from far away, Wearing such a thin disguise in the light of day... He held the answer to our prayers, Yet it was too good to be... Proof before our very eyes, yet we could not see

Steven Moore writes:
During the summer of 2007, my wife & I had the experience of being homeless, and in retrospect, it proved to be both a difficult and illuminating string of months. As we sought in every way possible to re-establish ourselves, and find reliable accommodations, we were fortunate enough to meet so many friendly and supportive folks, many of whom were in similar (or even worse) circumstances. Because of them, I regard that otherwise harrowing episode in our lives as nothing less than a blessing. I will never forget any of it, as long as I live.
And while I had always looked upon this particular song, "Crash-Barrier Waltzer", as a bitter-sweetly substantive piece (just as so much of Tull's music catalog embodies a lyrical grace, fierce intelligence, and dynamically distinctive melodies), it now holds even greater / deeper personal meaning for me.
"Crash-Barrier Waltzer" & "Nice Little Tune" (edit) are musical portions of a larger song cycle, formally entitled "Baker Street Muse", from the classic 1975 album, "Minstrel In The Gallery", music & lyrics by Ian Anderson.

Published on 4 Feb 2013 by TheValleyChannel Frosty sunday morning in Cache Valley, Utah along the Logan River. Now that video sends Tull Chills all over. I usually take "Divinities" when I go camping with my son and play it with a portable cd player. All the birds seem to like it just as much as I do. Years ago I had a parakeet that would sing along. This album has an undeniable spiritual quality which was felt by everyone who heard it live.

Great cover version!! I thought so to. In fact, dare I say it, comparable to the original. I've downloaded their version of Griminelli's Lament (alas not on youtube) which is rather fine as well. While it's never been one of my favourite IA compositions, Минус Трели's version is very good.

This might have something to do with the gig that had Ian playing a few 'Walk into Light' songs and jamming with Fela much to his disgust and oft voiced regrets. he did mention meeting with and talking to Jack Bruce as a silver lining of the evening...I didn't know they played together...he only ever mentions the jam during Fela's set that he so hated. Mandoki somehow gets all these ace musicians around him....but this looks far more recent than the Walk into light gig....maybe a promo they put together last time he recorded with Mandoki?
