Cry you a song was played on the Songs from the Wood tour in the UK - Feb 1977 and if memory serves remained part of the set through the year in the USA at least.

Can we have it again uk.youtube.com/watch?v=U6EKiK-dfFwTHANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS NONRABBIT. IT CERTAINLY HAS BROUGHT BACK A TON OF MEMORIES. I WAS AT THIS CONCERT IN TAMPA IN 1976. WE HAD THE WORST SEATS IN THE ENTIRE STADIUM, BUT TO MY SURPRISE TULL WAS TRYING OUT THIS NEW THING CALLED "TULLAVISION" AND IT DIDN'T MATTER WHERE YOU SAT, YOU GOT TO SEE IAN AND THE ENTIRE BAND UP CLOSE AND VERY PERSONAL...WHAT A FANTASTIC CONCERT THAT WAS... SILKEN...

Wow, that LITP is a rare one. While I have seen the video before, hard to forget Evans, I am certain it was not with a live reading of the song, I think possibly it was them lip syncing over the original. So to my knowledge that is the only recorded version of a live reading of the original version of that song, though I think they played it a time or two back around 69 or 70. Plus I don't know if Ian could not be bothered to relearn all the lyrics or not, as that first lyric part gets repeated. But good stuff, ty.

Looks like 'Tulli Vanilli' to me ( lip synched' ) Ian exaggerates the pronunciation in all examples of lip-synching promotions...like he's talking to a lip reader, or something, and the viewer might be fooled.
