Readers may be aware that the UK Post Office has issued stamps which reproduce some great LP covers - including PF's Dark Side of the Moon and LZ 4. Sadly, no JT LP cover was selected. Which is a convenient juncture for me to raise the issue and suggest that we select our own cover. I am not sure how the Post Office made their selections. For example, why Dark Side of the Moon - Atom Heart Mother is just as evocative IMHO. So, perhaps I will start the proceedings by suggesting - yes, you guessed it - Aqualung. Why - it is a beautiful painting and work of art IMHO. It is evocative of all things Tull (at the time). Not sure if members think the above is a good idea but it is a bit of fun to trawl members views in oder to overcome the Post Office error in not selecting a JT cover. Perhaps members would like to make their own selection with, perhaps, a reason why that choice. Regards. PS The above is not my idea - I stole the idea from the Barclay James Harvest web site - a site I commend to all in support of, perhaps, the second best 70's band !!

I reckon your choice of Aqualung is a sound one considering it's one of the most recognisable Tull covers to anyone who is not a Tull fan as such. TAAB could be another choice for the same basic reasons.

How about the LITP logo as a stamp...worldwide recogniton for the great man...maybe an 'air mail' issue to honor his lifelong relationship with airplanes.

They (Royal Mail) trawled through thousands of best of album covers and came up with a fairly odd choice but then these "best of lists" are always odd. They threw out any cover that was too dark so suppose that would rule out LITP? Aqualung would have been better than Led Zep IV ! Tubular bells definately Where's the Beatles? www.creativereview.co.uk/cr-blog/2009/november/stamp-albums
