I know none of you will mind watching all 9 minutes of this collage for the SF concert...at 1:26 you will see my daughter, in my lap, happily responding to the first flute solo of the night...she's only onscreen about 3 seconds. We did have earplugs, BTW, but she refused to wear them...so they protected her from the safety of my pocket. Then later on, the video taker pans down the front row, and photogs the little girl.....is that your tiny Tullhead? www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWIeBd1A_uQ

I haven't watched all of it yet Steel but I watched up to 1.35 THAT is just so sweet. She looks as if she is conducting the music or moving her hand to it! This should be part of the early years curriculum ;D ;D

I suppose a close-up would reveal if she was enthusiatic about the music or harvesting something from her nose...I think the former, there was no sniffling that day!

Tell you what Steel, your daughter on the video proves to me that the future is bright and rosey for all things Tull/IA. Even if they stop touring due to old age, the music will live on for ages.

Pardon my resurrecting an old thread, but that video is awesome and your daughter very cute. I definitely need to take one (or all - I was blessed with FOUR daughters... egads) to a Tull concert one day! (I know, it'll be an Ian or Martin concert, but one can hope!) --Ron--

Later that same life....Kid won't join me at Tull/Ian concert at gunpoint anymore...found her own favorites on the pop stations and firmly denounces her Tull tolerance past...oh well. It was good while it lasted. Luckily my little sister agreed to join me for TAAB concert in tacome last year and was very impressed, coming with me in Seattle next month. The daughter will come around,,,late in the century when I'm all dead and gone !

My daughter went to her first Tull gig on the Dot Com tour 1999 (aged 8) and 'retired' after the 'Acoustic Tour' if my memory serves me. I think she had 7/8 shows (and 3 balloons)Its on her CV forever!! OneIcelandicDuck

They will come back around in another ten or twenty years mark my words. I watched my eldest go through all sorts of musical phases - hip hop,90's indie etc and then when I took him to a Tull concert when he was in his thirties he said "I can say now that I've been to a Tull concert" then some old f*&t at the front said "well technically your not actually watching nor indeed listening to the band called Jethro Tull...." .. joke They will return to the fold.

BTW Do you always get front row seats?

I don't always get front row....only when child protective services are hovering nearby to see which selfish, unconcerned parents are endangering delicate young ears. That day was rare, first come, first serve seating in small venue ( Warfield theater...1200 seats) that almost always assigns seats...friend visiting from afar was willing to wait in line and grab great seats...a very pleasant surprise when kid and I wandered in after my work day.
