Okay, now Jeff Stern and I are Facebook buddies. Any more takers? I am still falling through a vertex of time travel (you scientists correct my phraseology if necessary), and I had the delightful experience of catching an internet friend having a long chat with one of my best friends here. Wild!! Come on, it'll be fun!*
*plus, you get to guess who all on my list I've "dated!" I am formally challenging Jeff to that contest. And you know the name of my ex-husband, so you're getting a freebie.

As for the others, I would say definitely that Brandon guy, and John Whitfeld for sure. Tom Gooch also makes the list and perhaps Michael Barley as well. I'm throwing in Ian Rosen as a longshot, a nice Jewish boy from LA who shares our hero's first name. How did I do? A few short perhaps? Jeff

I'm throwing in Ian Rosen as a longshot, a nice Jewish boy from LA who shares our hero's first name. How did I do? A few short perhaps? Jeff Steve only looks like that every other weekend. As for the others, nope, nope, nope, nope, although I did date Mike Barley in college (no sex, we were good Baptists) - he was my boyfriend before Steve, and Tim Gooch was a good friend of both of us at the same time. Hadn't seen or heard from either of them in 25 years and it's really, really awesome (in the true sense of the word) to be in touch with them again! Tim's making a short film for a contest soon and both of us may be helping him with it. Brandon and John are gaming friends, and Ian is part of a really cool email list I'm on, a yahoo group called High-F - in reference to the movie High Fidelity - just a bunch of pop culture freaks who talk about what we like in music, movies, etc. Bregt and Andrew are also in that group. The four of us and another guy named Rob do something like 80% of the posting between us.

I will encourgage you, Nonrabbit! Encourage, encourage, encourage! It's entirely up to you whether you want to be found - you can pretty much completely protect yourself from being searched if that's what you want. But it's true I am spending a lot of time at it right now, so I can't tell you it won't do that!

I'm not getting the same thrill as myspace. Maybe I'm not doing it properly I love myspace because I can tinker away till my hearts content customising my page ok it's not cutting edge web design ;D but it's fun. Don't think you can do that as much on Facebook? The main thing tho is all the music on myspace old and new bands and meeting people with the same tastes. I've found loads of wonderful things on there and I'm lucky only one weird one Ps and he was deleted ;D

Your presentation of one of my and many's favorite Tull pieces, Flying Dutchman, some months back, where that opening piano figure came out of a gentle Celtic rainstorm, and some imagery that fit perfectly, was effective at a level that I think our beloved headmaster would be impressed, and I am sure all the moreso that it is a woman creating it. She finds beautiful Tull images that often I have not seen on this miracle that is the internet. This morning going there for the first time in awhile there is a great sort of Fire at Midnight picture of Ian I have never seen, with a background of a perfect early morning Tull piece, Alive and Well and Living In. You are the gold piece sweetheart!

I've found loads of wonderful things on there and I'm lucky only one weird one Ps and he was deleted ;D Well why didn't you say you were on it, girl, you might have more fun with us around! No, it's not the same as MySpace, which indeed seems to be sort of like having your own website. Facebook is more comparable to having your own forum. It's more chronologically oriented too . It's got that status box up there, and you can write a little something about what you''re up to, or put links and videos that interest you - and those appear then on your friends' pages. They can comment, conversations happen, and then something else appears. It's a nice way to keep a general sense of what's going on with people and what's on their minds, and you also kind of get a familiarity with and chit chat with their other friends, which is one really cool thing to me. But there are also the newsgroups and interest groups you can join, so there is still that aspect of meeting people over different interests.

Facebook has a lot of fun things to play around with, nonrabbit (I mean besides Rebecca and me, of course... ;D).
But it will never ever, ever take the place of what you do on MySpace.
Double ditto on everything tullistray said....

And now that I've been again I may start doing MySpace again too. I had one so long ago I don't know if I can find it again. p.s. Bluehare and I are sending each other drinks and getting smashed on Facebook, which I don't think you can do on MySpace!!

Well I suppose it depends on what side of the screen Thank you Mr Tullistray, Blue and Rebecca for those kind words. It's a labour of love - it's like being back in the teenage bedroom again, hanging up the posters and listening to music I'm annoyed though at the restrictions that myspace had to impose like not allowing 2 music players on there at the same time - put an end to my special effects but I'll find a way around
