Hi, Fairport´s gig at last year´s Cropredy Festival was the best I ever saw and now I am more than happy to see, that the best parts of the Saturday evening are available on CD now. See all details on www.fairportconvention.com

Thanks Ulla...I wish you would play with us more on this board...I know you have tons of Tull knowledge and stories behind the scenes....Do you have any contact with Gerd?

Do you have any contact with Gerd? Do you mean Gerd Burkhardt? I didn´t see him for ages and I have no idea what he is doing nowadays.

Yeah, Herr Burkhardt...he and I were quite friendly in the late 80s...well beyond Tull stuff During one visit to berlin, i was able to take him to meet Natascha Ungeheuer and Johannes Schenk (RIP) two old time Kreuzberg serious bohemian artists that he had always admired from afar....their crowd included jurek becker, Fassbiner and another wild old guy named Wolf something...with a radio show...anyway...Gerd was polite and intelllegent, but because he was K-berg 63...and they were all K-berg 36, they were bastards and treated him really badly....he was disillusioned and disappointed...kind ironic to watch gerd deal with his heroes on the other side of the equation of always protecting Ian from fans! Gerd was always nice and fair and generous.....I think he was truly offended by some of the adventures Peggy and martin A got up to...like drinking contests that ended with people in the hospital!
