Probably not a thread for much discussion...just a lament...got the latest New Day today (96) and found it packed full of quotes to the effect that Hell will get a hockey team before we get a new, old-fashioned, songs with lyrics and maybe a bit of a theme, album from our heroes. Oh well....cup half full, I suppose, they do tour and erp out an occaisional new instrumental, lively upgrade to an old song or old song long unplayed......Let's hope for surprises of all sorts!

Not surprising. I recently heard that the guy from Smashing Pumpkins announced that in light of internet downloading his band would no longer be releasing albums, but instead would periodically release a song or two on Itunes for fans to download. Ian said the same thing five or six years ago, however we did even get a single new song that way either. Jeff

However maybe Ian will start to play with the new studio toys now? One can only hope so, I hope there's still some creativity. Maybe Charlie gave back the handle and the train has slowed down... I am actually quite optimistic that we are going to get some new Tull material in the not too distant future. As well as talking a bit about his new studio gizmos in Ian's Jan 2009 news he did also say 'New studio works will commence in the next weeks.' That to me sounds like serious writing and recording and seems much more definite than the previous hints he's given.
