I absolutely love: Martin Barre, Clive Bunker, Dee Palmer, The New Day Guys, the rest of Martin Barre's band and Aqualung....so why does this feel sort of scraping the bottom of the barrel? And trust me, as a Bay Area resident with a front row seat on Grateful Dead cover bands and every other iteration of former Dead members, their friends, neighbors, one time jamming partners and people who lived on the same street endlessly trying to relive the magic...I know from bottom of the barrel. There is a point when loving tributes and fun memories simply turn into squeezing blood from stones. Martin, Dee and Clive should play a combination of their own material, a few Tull covers and a few other, just right songs covering other bands. I'd line up for that in a heartbeat. Let Aqualung have a rest, the poor old sod.....

Let Aqualung have a rest, the poor old sod..... I know I'm repeating myself, but I agree with you. Dan Crisp is a great musician, a fine guitarist, but his vocals are not for me. Obviously Clive Bunker is an absolute legend in the Tull camp, and David Palmer (Dee) was a massive part of the band who contributed hugely to those albums he worked on, played on with the band. But to anyone who goes to these gigs, I don't think they would get the greatness of the songs without the main man, IA, being upfront...older fans like me would maybe still like the songs.......but, anyone new to the stuff would not get the greatness from the tunes the way they are presented without Ian.....will it make new folks into Tull fans? There is just something more authentic seeing Ian and co, no matter who else.......than Martin and co... IMHO.....
