If you haven’t seen it, highly recommend. Complicated plot won’t try to explain. Brilliant story, brilliant performances. Especially by Chris O’Dowd who plays a guy who runs a forum in honor of the musician he idolizes. His girlfriend who is less than enthusiastic. The musician played by Ethan Hawke and the musicians many children, especially his youngest son. Just hilarious in the most perfectly dysfunctional way.

I trust Nick Hornby ( liked the book, like most of his books) and I trust Yvonne and Jim...so I'm gonna watch.

Great let us know what you think. I am actually going to watch it again with my husband who heard me laughing at the film rather loudly from another room. Lock down is such fun sometimes.

I forgot to watch it last night - got stuck on a Netflix loop. Good old lock down eh! I'll watch it tonight though.

2nd watching was just as good. I think I should try and read the book we have upstairs written by Nick Hornby. I loved the fact that that all the characters in Juliet Naked were portrayed as really interesting individuals and not just one dimensional. Yet so funny and predictable. The way people really are. Highlighting things that are not easy to highlight. So much said when the actors said nothing. Well I didn’t fall asleep as so often happens.

I agree about the actors, they blended really well together - Rosie Byrne played it so well and believable. Nick Hornby certainly knows his music forums and those who frequent them. I burst out laughing at the line "We don't get many ladies passing by" Broadstairs looked lovely as well.

So glad you enjoyed the film. My other all time joy is the film ‘La La Land’ which I must have seen about 4 times. Next up, might try and give an insight into ‘Why Ian doesn’t drive’. Basically back then there was no way he could afford the lessons.
