Clive Bunker
Once again a must for lovers of the progressive '70s and above all for the still numerous fans of Jethro Tull: they return tonight to the Garden of Lugagnano, where they always had great enthusiasm, the Lincoln Quartet, group officially recognized as the tribute band for excellence of Jethro Tull, with the participation of the great Clive Bunker, that of Jethro was the historic drummer. The Lincoln Quartet deploys Lincoln Veronese (voice, guitar and founder of the group, collaborator of Goran Kuzminac), Mauro Martello (transverse flute, of classical matrix, historical component of the Opus Avantra by Donella Del Monaco), Andrea De Nardi (keyboards) and Manuel Smaniotto (drums) who play together in the band of Aldo Taliapietra, in Pink Size and in Former Life; and Iacopo Gobbato on bass. Smaniotto will alternate with the special guest Clive Bunker, drummer of Jethro Tull original and most appreciated, those of the first four albums: «This Was» of 1968, then «Stand Up», «Benefit», and the legendary «Aqualung» of 1971. At that point, with the group also at the peak of its commercial path, Bunker opted for marriage and a life that did not impose rockstar rhythms, left the Jethro but not the music. Since then, focusing on the blues-rock, has continued to play, maintaining a good relationship with former comrades, so as to participate in occasional meetings (for example for the realization of the DVD of 2002 "Living With The Past" with Anderson , Glenn Cornick and Abrahams, among his many post-Jethro Tull collaborations, those with Robin Trower of Procol Harum, Steve Hillage, Manfred Mann, Steve Howe of Yes.
