... following on from the Shoutbox and the demise of poor Poldark in Truro Gaol thought I'd start a thread as a kind of alternative to the obvious tourist spots to visit.
The castles and stately homes are all well and good to visit but it's the lesser known, quirky, weird places that I find even more interesting. Abandoned hospitals and the old lunatic asylums for instance.
Need help so post away ...not just the UK. For instance, those places in America where you drive for mile to see the "Worlds Largest Ball Of String"
It's not unknown but it's not on the top ten of places to visit in the UK but it should be.
it's the most atmospheric, strange, authentic - nothings been updated, creepy place I have ever been.

snaffler: I haven't listened to anything as refreshing for decades (re Jethro Tull), as a couple of recordings of Martin's 50th Anniversary US tour! The songs sound so reinvigorated by Dan Crisp's vocals. I saw Martin last year and the vibe in the band seemed great

steelmonkey: I still don't feel like I have learned and integrated the 5 songs that were written for the opera. I wonder if and when they will ever be available besides the version snagged from a live show that I listen to now and again.

JTull 007: The Jethro Tull Forum is not on Facebook but there are some called The Jethro Tull Board or Group that have been quite abusive to TRUE TULL Fans. This Forum is very open minded and not so childish.

dryad: Hey, I'm shouting out because I can't figure out how to post in the "Hello, I'm new Here!" post. I cam over here looking for Samhain songs. I'll roll with "Songs From the Wood" if no one knows of something specific. I'll do the hello if I can figure it out
